CRAs transform communities #redevelopmentworks

In West Tampa, eight traffic signal boxes once overlooked as dull city infrastructure have been transformed into public art thanks to a project led by the Tampa Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA).

For CRA Arts and Cultural Project Coordinator Cory Robinson, the initiative is about more than aesthetics; it’s about community identity.

“The Tampa CRA is a community-driven agency focused on eliminating slum and blight in designated areas of the city,” Robinson explains. “But beyond the physical transformation, we’re also uplifting culture and creativity, giving artists visibility, and bringing residents joy in their daily lives.”

Related Urban And Riviera Beach CRA Celebrate Groundbreaking Of Residences At Marina Village

CRAs transform communities #redevelopmentworks

On Monday, September 29, at 3 p.m., Related Urban, the affordable housing arm of leading developer Related Group, will join the Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (RBCRA) to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Residences at Marina Village. Located in the heart of Riviera Beach’s waterfront district, within its developing downtown corridor, the Residences at Marina Village is an eight-story, 149-unit Class-A mixed-income development.

The community is the first of its kind for the city, offering a full spectrum of affordable and workforce apartments as part of a comprehensive mixed-use master plan redevelopment of the Riviera Beach CRA’s most valuable waterfront land, known as the Marina Village Master Plan.

“Residences at Marina Village is a key milestone for Related Urban and for Riviera Beach,” said Albert Milo, Jr., President of Related Urban Development Group. “As our first project in the city, it’s about more than a building – it’s about giving working families a real chance to thrive. Too many households in the area face rising rents, long commutes, and the threat of being priced out. With these high-quality, attainable homes, families can live near their jobs, schools and the heart of the community. We’re proud to help create stability, opportunity and a place people can feel proud to call home.”
