Welcome to Future Ready Collier's (FRC) Network News! FRC is a collective impact network mobilized around early development, school success, and college & career success. We meet regularly to maximize resources, share best practices, and collaborate to support all students in Collier County, Southwest Florida. This newsletter shares themes, milestones, and events, and we welcome your involvement!

Youth Haven
Executive Director: Linda Goldfield

Mission: Providing Home, Hope and Healing to abused and neglected children and teens in Southwest Florida.

Youth Haven is a new partner in FRC. Why did your organization join? What is the value you have found? "Youth Haven serves youth from 10-19, and homeless teens who are in school or working. FRC provides support, resources, and information that will help ensure our youth can be successful. We also hope we can open up discussions with FRC about kids and their needs that call Youth Haven 'home'. These kids have little to no parental involvement and come with serious trauma from abuse and neglect. Educational support is at the forefront and will assist in determining their success for the future.

In our short time as a partner, we have benefitted from resources learned at the meetings and have already recruited an expert volunteer that will assist to improve our ability to delivery educational support while youth are out of school."

  • Early Development, Thursday the 10th 8:30-10am, at Lorenzo Walker Technical College
  • School Success, Thursday the 10th 10:30am-12:00pm, at Salvation Army (Estey Ave)
  • College & Career Success, Friday the 11th 8:30-10am, at Lorenzo Walker Technical College
Since last meetings in November, Priority Teams have been busy planning some excellent collaborative work to address the various needs in our community. We look forward to hearing more at these meetings!

FRC Lunch & Learn Series
Collective impact networks work together and share information to tackle complex social issues. FRC is committed to shared learning, no matter your age or experience. We invite you, your colleagues, your students, your mentors/mentees, and others to attend the upcoming FREE and virtual FRC Lunch & Learn series!

Join monthly discussions on barriers and opportunities across the continuum of early development into adulthood. We will be speaking with local experts, nationally renowned thought leaders, statewide policy influencers, and many more to come.

January 19th will introduce and present tools around "Barriers to Economic Mobility" and February 16th will present a "Local Panel on Healthcare."
