DiveBar is teaming up with the NSU Oceanographic Center to grow, clean, maintain, and outplant (graft) coral in our local marine environment. On the evening of May 10th (6-8pm), members of the NSU Oceanographic Center's Coral Reef Restoration, Assessment and Monitoring Lab will train everyone interested on the techniques you'll use underwater at the Oceanographic Center (8000 North Ocean Drive, Dania Beach, FL 33004).

The first coral reef restoration dive with members of the National Coral Reef Institute is SOLD OUT.

DiveBar will offer multiple coral reef restoration dives throughout the year, but you must attend the training on May 10th to go on any of the dives, so even if you cannot attend the dive on May 11th, make sure you RSVP for and attend the May 10th training.  All levels of certification welcome to join.

RSVP limited to 80 people for May 10th - training is free of charge.

Join DiveBar's Relay For Life Team and DIVE for a cure!  June 1, 2013
DiveBar is proud to announce that we have formed a team and will be participating in an exciting event called Relay for Life--with a scuba twist! This special Relay for Life will include a diving portion. Instead of walking around a track, teams of divers will take turns in the water off Lauderdale by the Sea from 6pm until midnight.

At Relay For Life events, communities across the globe come together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. The funds you raise truly make a difference in the fight against cancer - just ask one of the nearly 14 million cancer survivors who will celebrate another birthday this year!

We need members to dive as well as provide surface support, if you're interested in getting involved please check out DiveBar's Team webpage. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our team captain, Alina O'Connor at oconnor.alina@gmail.com or 305-934-6358.
