FREE Fitness Classes

Register now for FREE trial classes of Low Impact Intensity Training and Strength & Cardio for Active Adults! After experiencing the trial class, register for the entire session and receive a $5 discount. Classes take place at the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center, 24550 W. Renwick Road in Plainfield. Dates and times for the free trial classes are:

• Strength & Cardio for Active Adults - Monday, August 22, 6-7PM
• Low Impact Intensity Training - Tuesday, August 23, 6-6:45PM
• Strength & Cardio for Active Adults - Saturday, August 27, 9-10AM

Eaton Preserve Paving Project

The Eaton Preserve trail and parking lot paving project is scheduled to begin this week. The parking lot and/or path may be closed at various times. Weather permitting, work is scheduled to be completed the week of August 22-26.

Youth Athletic Leagues

Registration is now available for a variety of youth athletic leagues including:

• Volleyball (ages 8-15) - September 11-November 3
• Flag Football (ages 5-13) - September 11-October 30
• Indoor Futsal (ages 3-6) - October 22-December 17
• Basketball (ages 5-14) - December 1-March 31

Day of Play

Enjoy an abundance of outdoor activities and games at the Inaugural Day of Play being held in partnership with the Village of Romeoville Parks & Recreation Department 4 to 6 p.m., September 8 at Rotary Park, 2023 Whitmore Dr., in Romeoville.

Enchanted Ball

Come one, come all, it is time for the Ball! Put on your most enchanting outfit and join us 6 to 8 p.m., September 16 at the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center for a magical evening of dancing, mystical games, exquisite treats and photo opportunities with Elsa and Olaf! 

Giving Tuesday BINGO

Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Bring a canned good or non-perishable food item to the Plainfield Township Community Center for a special FREE Giving Tuesday BINGO event, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., September 20. The food items will be donated to Loaves & Fishes Community Services. Participants receive one free BINGO card per non-perishable food item donated. Registration is required.
