SUNDAY TEACHING IS READY
APRIL 2023 MONTHLY LETTER

Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. John 8:36

Jesus was saying, certainly if you truly know me, you are free. This freedom is knowing Jesus! The result of knowing Him, is abiding, and keeping His word. Our freedom came to our lives through Jesus, the very moment we acknowledged Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

What is this freedom? This freedom is knowing Jesus! To walk in this freedom, we must abide in His word. The word of God brings truth and freedom to our lives, hallelujah!

How do we keep our freedom? We keep our freedom only when we abide and obey the word of God, which are His instructions for us. We live according to the word when we allow the word to take residence in our lives. You may ask, what is to abide in His word? Well, let me tell you, I love the way it says in the amplified bible, it makes it so simple for us to understand. Let’s see this in John 8:31, So Jesus was saying to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you abide in My word [continually obeying My teachings and living in accordance with them, then] you are truly My disciples”. This does not only make you His disciple, but knowing this truth will truly make you free indeed.

It’s not enough to say I know Jesus, it’s knowing Him in a personal and intimate way. When you come to truly know Him, you obey His word. Our obedience to the word of God is the evidence in our lives that we truly know Him. The word of God takes place in our hearts, we obey it, and make no excuses. God’s word makes progress in our lives because the word of God becomes rooted and grounded in us. When we choose to take a hold of His word and instructions through His teachings, and live in according to His word, this is the evidence in our lives that we are free Indeed!

Let the word of God take residence in your heart. This will be a continuing process by you acknowledging the truth of the written word. By doing this, you will live a victorious life through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! Take a hold of this truth and walk in your freedom, Jesus has set us free!

You see, in John chapter 8:31-47 the people proclaimed to be descendants of Abraham, but their deeds were contrary to what they claimed. They missed that Jesus was the son of God, they sought to kill Jesus because they truly did not recognize Him. That is why it is important to know Jesus in a personal way. Truly knowing Him, makes us free.

When we truly know Jesus, our lives reflect it from that fellowship, and the result of that evidence can be evident in our lives. If we rebel against the word of God, then this is the evidence that we truly don’t know Him.

Remember this, Jesus set us free from sin and sin has no power in us, and I say this again, no power in those who live in according to His word.
While many around the world will soon be remembering Jesus’ death and resurrection, take a moment to meditate on what Jesus has done for you. When you truly understand this, you will live a life according to His word.

When we live according to His word, then we can walk in authority. Each of us must make a choice to live according to what is required of the Lord for our lives. Each of us must make that choice if we obey or not. It is our responsibility as citizens of the Kingdom to give Glory to the Lord our Father with our lives. This can only happen when we allow the Lord to be Glorified through our lives, and this only takes place when we allow the word of God to bring freedom to our hearts. Let us be rooted and grounded in the truth of the word of God. There is Freedom in Jesus.

JESUS CHRIST IS LORD! AMEN
