The Children's Trust Announces
Program Management Leadership Academy – Apply Today
Supervisors and managers of direct-line staff in Trust-funded service programs are invited to apply for The Children’s Trust’s inaugural Program Management Leadership Academy (aka "The Academy"), which will take place in 2018. The Academy is a leadership development program designed to help supervisory leaders of Trust-funded organizations serving children, youth and families move to the next level of personal and professional growth. Participants will learn effective strategies to handle major leadership and organizational challenges, and be encouraged to interact, discover and communicate as they build their skills to become awesome leaders. And you are invited to apply to be a part of it! Volunteer Grant Application Reviewers Wanted - We Need You!
In alignment with our mission, The Children’s Trust will soon release competitive funding opportunities (Requests for Proposals/RFPs) for programs that support children and families in five-year funding cycles, in the following program areas: youth development, parenting and early childhood development. An important component of the process is the engagement of local community members to work with Trust staff in reviewing applications submitted for funding, and we hope you will consider joining us in this critical endeavor. Injury Prevention Training 
All Trust-funded providers are required to participate in childhood injury prevention capacity-building efforts facilitated by the Public Health Trust's Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Miami .   • Counselor - Part-Time To deliver group facilitation and care coordination. Responsibilities include acting as the primary participant advocate; keeping abreast of progress; coordinating all services delivered to participants through external referrals; conducting screenings and registrations; supporting assessments with appropriate tools to address comprehensive needs of participants; and collaborating with other community providers to ensure participants receive coordinated services.
  • Family Support Worker - Part-Time To provide support to program services, working primarily with children in group settings. Responsibilities include parent recruitment and family registration; supporting staff in initiating and maintaining regular contact with program participants; establishing trusting relationships with program children, parents and families; assisting with groups with the children following evidence-based practice curriculum; and helping facilitate such activities as parent-child sessions, and family activities and events.

  • Child-Parent Psychotherapist To provide evidence-based Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) with fidelity for children (ages birth-5) and families with high special needs, histories of complex trauma, and medical and mental health issues. Must be trained in and have experience in CPP, and must be committed to helping improve the lives of women and children in the community. Minimum master's degree in mental health counseling, clinical social work, marriage and family therapy, or the equivalent; must also be licensed or a registered clinical intern; bilingual fluency (English-Spanish) required.
  • Nonprofit Bookkeeper/Grant Manager To assist with bookkeeping, financial and contract reporting, and compliance to funding and regulating agencies. Responsibilities include without limitation generating and interpreting financial reports, billing, payroll, classing of revenue and expenses, reporting of line items to QuickBooks management, and compiling and completing reports to various funding and government agencies. Must possess 5+ years' bookkeeping/financial reporting experience, or an associate degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent experience; and solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles, including but not limited to GAAP Skilled QuickBooks User, including reports and analysis; experience in QuickBooks software and understanding of nonprofit financials preferred.
