Ribbon Cutting for Niblack in Columbia

Earlier this month we were honored to join our friends and partners at Columbia County School District for the ribbon cutting ceremony of the new Minnie J. Niblack Elementary School, a beautiful new campus that represents progress, partnership, and a powerful commitment to students.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was more than just a building, it’s a bold investment in the future of education for Columbia County families. The state-of-the-art classrooms and thoughtful design reflect the district’s unwavering dedication to providing the very best for its students and staff.

2025 FDLRS NEFEC Summer Institute

On July 14th, the FDLRS NEFEC Summer Institute was held in Bradford County, bringing together educators—including teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators—for a one-day professional learning event. The Institute focused on best practices to support students with disabilities and provided participants with practical strategies to enhance teaching and learning. FDLRS NEFEC partnered with FDLRS MICCO, FDLRS Administration, FIN, Learning Ally, TATS, and Project 10 to offer a variety of sessions designed to strengthen instructional practices and increase support for students across districts.

A big thank you goes to the FDLRS NEFEC team, specifically Mrs. Hannah Diaz, FDLRS NEFEC HRD/Tech and PLA Coordinator, for spearheading the event, and to Bradford County for hosting. Without the ongoing support of our districts, events like this would not be possible. The day highlighted the power of collaboration and the shared commitment to ensuring all students have the tools they need to succeed.

Gilchrist Using Data To Drive Learning

NEFEC and Gilchrist County Schools recently came together for a powerful collaboration focused on student progress monitoring. Educators dug deep into data practices, Data visualizations, evaluating student growth, setting meaningful goals, and transforming data into clear, actionable insights.

It was an energizing day of learning and sharing, all centered on ensuring high expectations and accelerated growth for every student. A huge thank you to Gilchrist County for your commitment to student success!
