Knitting and crochet friends,
I got to thinking about the essentials that I count on to be in the little knitting pouch that I carry around.
++ Six inch ruler: it fits the bag.
++ Small gauge crochet hook: for fixing mistakes, working in ends.
++ Golf pencil: So I always have something to write with.
++ Business card: So I always have something to write on
++ Nail clipper: for cutting yarn.
++ Needle gauge: gives me gauge info for when I'm thinking "hmm, why did I choose this needle size?"
++ Stitch markers: to mark stitches.
++ Bent needle: for working in ends.
I usually carry a folded up printout of the pattern I'm workin on. In this case, I'm knitting lots of inches of k1, p1 ribbing for the Cedar Walk Hat so I left out the pattern.
That little pouch closes with a drawstring instead of a zipper. I like zippered bags, but with this drawstring in a casing, the yarn is less likely to get caught.
