About the Speakers:

Mary Beth Miotto, MD, MPH, FAAP is a primary care pediatrician and the Immediate Past President of the Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (MCAAP). Mary Beth’s training included the George Washington University School of Medicine and the Children’s National Medical Center, and in 2019 she earned her Master of Public Health with honors at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Dr. Miotto co-chairs the Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS) Committee on Student Health and Sports Medicine, which most recently published a school mental health toolkit. Mary Beth is the lead author of a 2024 AAP policy statement on Safe Administration of Medications in School. She is currently working on an AAP/National Association of School Nurses group developing a bidirectional communication release form and learning module for use by schools and child health professionals. 

Mona Doss Roberts, DO, FAAP is a primary care pediatrician at Boston Medical Center. She completed her Masters degree in Medical Sciences at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She completed her Pediatric Residency at the University of Connecticut. She is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Pediatrics at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She is the Director of the Pediatric Resident Continuity Clinic at Boston Medical Center and is a member of the Committee on Practice and Ambulatory Medicine (COPAM) of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). She completed a mini-fellowship in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics and has an interest in developmental evaluations of young children with developmental delay and autism spectrum disorder.
