Governor issues “Stay at Home” order
On Sunday, Gov. Edwards issued a statewide “Stay at Home” order that goes into effect today at 5 p.m. to further combat the spread of COVID-19 in Louisiana.

The order includes the closure of places of public amusement – both indoor and outdoor – and malls. The governor has previously ordered casinos, bars, movie theatres, gyms and fitness centers closed and restricted restaurants to take-out, drive-through and delivery orders only.

Further clarification from the Governor’s office allows critical infrastructure businesses, outlined by the Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) guidelines, to remain in operation. These essential businesses include hotels and motels. Click here for additional guidance on essential businesses.
