Prior to leaving Washington, DC for Easter recess, Senators Cardin (D-MD) and Wicker (R-MS) unveiled their long anticipated small business relief package (S.4008) . Unlike the House proposal passed earlier, the Senate package would create a $2 billion grant program specifically for the health and fitness industry. The Senate grant program is more flexible and allows more facilities to receive funds than the House proposal. 

We need your help!

Gyms were directly impacted and bore the brunt of government-mandated closures and restrictions. On top of this, gyms—much like restaurants—were indirectly harmed by the pandemic's impact on the economy. As of December 31, 2021, 25% of fitness facilities in the United States have closed their doors permanently. This also projects to over 1.5 million jobs lost in the industry. 

We need you to write to your Senators today and tell them to support S.4008!
