The giftings of the fivefold ministry (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher) should have one purpose, and that is the teaching and equipping of the saints until we come into unity.

This is why we teach so that you can grow stronger in your faith until unity comes in the body of Christ. Take what you have learned and share it with others so that we can further the kingdom for Jesus Christ.

DON’T LISTEN TO SATAN’S LIES

Once you have repented of your sin and receive Jesus Christ as your Savior, you are forgiven of your sin. You walk in the robe of righteousness that Jesus gave you.

Do not let the devil steal your joy by bringing up your past mistakes and tormenting you with them. If you focus on his words, you will never get the victory Jesus has given you.

Satan is called the father of lies in John 8:44. He twists truth, lies, and does his best to convince you that you have no hope.  Yes, we have sinned because Romans 3:23 says, “For all [that includes you and I] have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” But 1 John 1:9 tells us: “If we confess our sins [to God] he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness.”

Jesus’ blood washes away our sin. When Jesus shed his blood for us, it was for eternity. He does not play games! You are forgiven!

Enjoy the freedom of knowing that the enemy no longer has any strongholds on you that you do not give him. Do not listen to his lies! You have been bought with a price, and you are redeemed from sin. Enjoy the knowledge of knowing this, and do not look back. There is nothing there; it is gone, washed away by the blood of Jesus!

Now walk in that revelation and when the enemy tries to torment you with your past sin, do not listen. Instead remind him and yourself that it has been washed away by Jesus’ blood.

THE CHRISTMAS SERIES – PART 6

THE MIGDAL EDER AND THE SHEPHERDS

The birth of the Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth, revealed in the New Testament, is most appreciated, understood, and validated as truth when you see and understand the prophecies of Him in the Old Testament that were given hundreds of years earlier. Isaiah, among others, prophesied His birth, His death, and His rulership in the future kingdom. Micah 5:2 even gave Bethlehem as His birthplace.

There were also things in the New Testament era that were prophetic about Jesus’ birth and death. Aa good example of this has to do with one of the most remarkable stories of Jesus birth relating to the shepherds and their sheep, an untold story never shared in church.

The only story we ever hear is the one in Luke 2:8-20 about the angel’s announcement, their trip to the manger, and how they told it to everyone all around, but that is the extent of the story told to us. However, there is so much more that is prophetic in the story which we never hear about.

There were shepherds and flocks all over Israel, but these were not just any shepherds and not just any sheep. These were very special. A passage written in the Jewish Mishnah (Shekalim 7:4) leads to the conclusion that these were the sheep from which came the lambs used for the sacrifices at the Temple in Jerusalem. As the lambs were born, these were the shepherds specifically assigned to handle the birthing and care of these lambs. These were birthed, kept, and raised at a very special sheepfold in Bethlehem called “the tower of the flock”, or in Hebrew, the “Migdal Eder.” This “tower of the flock” is spoken of in Micah 4:8, “and thou, Oh Tower of the flock, the stronghold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shalt come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.” The first dominion (rulership), the kingdom come, it all speaks of the coming of a ruler who proceeds out of the “tower of the flock,” where Jesus, our sacrificial lamb was born. He is the “stronghold.”

When the angel announced the birth and referred to the manger, the shepherds knew exactly where to go. The manger, a food trough for the sacrificial lambs, had been vacated (emptied) because all the sheep were being kept in the field day and night. They promptly headed to the Migdal Eder where they found the infant Messiah. He was born there because it was the only space available that would give them the needed privacy for a birthing event.

Just as the sacrificial lambs for the Temple in Jerusalem were born in the Tower of The Flock in Bethlehem, so also was the sacrificial Lamb of God born in the Tower of the Flock in Bethlehem to be sacrificed in Jerusalem.

This was all set up prophetically in scripture centuries ahead of time. The story in Luke fulfills the prophetic words and the typology found in the Old Testament right down to the smallest detail.

It was no accident that there was “no room in the Inn.” It was no accident that Jesus was birthed at the Migdal Eder where the sacrificial lambs were kept. He would grow up to become the sacrificial lamb of God for the remission of our sins in the New Testament. The Migdal Eder was the sheepfold for fulfilling God’s plan of redemption. That is why out of the thousands of shepherds throughout Israel, only these particular ones were given the announcements.

These shepherds came to the manger at the sheepfold, the Migdal Eder, and beheld the newborn who was to be our Good Shepherd. They glorified, praised God, and spread the word to everyone.

A PROPHETIC WORD

AS GIVEN TO HELEN SANDERS

I am hearing the Lord say to his children, Don’t quit, I need you. You are integral to the plan that I have laid out. Oh, my child if you could only see what I see in you, but I have kept the veil to seeing what I see hidden so that you would not become engulfed with pride. For there are many that I would have used, but they took the glory for themselves. They were like Lucifer and said, I will, I did, I am. There is nothing worse than pride, for it will bring a fall. But I have seen your heart, and it is pure. It is soft and pliable and ready to hear when I speak. Yes, I know there have been many days of discouragement where you wondered if you would make it through, but those days were the days of fire, refining you and making you into the person you are today. So, know that you are loved and needed, and that as you hear my voice and obey that you will see things that you have never dreamed of. Yes, for a season you are weary, but as you wait upon me, you will renew your strength. You will mount up as an eagle while others will grovel like chickens in a barnyard. Take your eyes off the circumstances for they will deceive you every time. Put your eyes upon me, my child, and you will be strengthened in this hour. Yes, there will be many more trials, and yes, the fire will be hotter, but as it was with the three Hebrew children in the fiery furnace, I will be with you also. You will come out without any smell of smoke and not a hair lost. So, rest, knowing that I am here and that you shall surely see the victory if you do not quit saith the Lord.

Friday Thought For Today

We have all heard the song “The 12 Days of Christmas”. But did you know the story behind the song? It was birthed from the Christian faith. In the sixteenth century England forbade religious teaching unless by their official state church.

It begins with “my true love” being God.

1st day of Christmas is a partridge and the original gift from God was Jesus. The pear tree represents the cross.

2nd day two turtle doves is a reminder of the sacrifice offered for Jesus by Mary and Joseph.

3rd day: three French hens. They symbolized the gifts brought to the Christ child by the three wisemen. Gold Frankincense and Myrrh.

4th day: four calling birds were reminders of the first four books of the New Testament Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

5th day:5 golden rings were for the first 5 books of the Old Testament. Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.

6th day: 6 geese a laying: the 6 days it took to create the earth.

7th day: 7 swans a-swimming represented the 7 gifts of the Holy Spirit. Prophesying, Faith, serving, teaching, encouraging, give generously, leadership and mercy.

8th day 8 maids a milking represented 8 unique teaching by Jesus. The beatitudes.

9th day-nine ladies dancing. The fruits of the Holy Spirit. Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, gentleness, and Self control.

10th day- 10 Lords a leaping represented the Ten Commandments.

11th day: 11 pipers piping were the 11 apostles chosen by Jesus.

12th day: 12 drummers drumming represented twelve vital Christian beliefs of the Apostle Creed.

I have seen another variation of this on the internet but both are basically the same.

Something to think about.

APOSTLE PAT MURRAY

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

Let's not forget each word that comes out from our mouths; Has the ability to produce a bonafide MIRACLE or a great big MESS. Yes, the WORDS we speak can actually SHAPE our entire life's future; As well as the lives of countless others who may have heard everything we just said. I'm sure most of you are familiar with the words in Proverbs 18: 21. It's here the wise man Solomon wrote as led by Holy Spirit the following words. "The tongue can bring death or life; And those who love to talk will reap the consequences of their words." Now the saddest part of this all is that; NOT only do the words you speak affect YOUR life...But what you say from your mouth can also affect the lives of many others for the good and the bad...For their present and for their future. So be cautious to choose your words very prayerfully and carefully; For they will bring life or death to you or to another person or situation you may encounter on life's journey. Therefore, I leave you with the following prayer from Psalms 141:3 and may it be your heartfelt prayer today and everyday. "Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; And keep watch over the door of my lips"

BARBARA TOWER

PROPHETESS/SEER/INTERCESSOR

Sometimes, you know God just gave you an encouraging word for somebody. Yet, they didn't respond. First, you make sure they heard and understand you. Then you have to realize that the reality of what you said, hasn't totally "hit" them yet and they haven't pondered it enough.Give them time and space. Don't ever try to force a reaction they don't have. Lastly, they didn't like what you said for whatever reason or they are not going to receive it because it was you that said it, not someone else perhaps. You did your part in what God wanted to do for them. Now leave it alone, as hard as that may be at times.

This World! HCC

This World is not my home;

I’m just traveling through.

I’m on my way through time,

oh, to be with you!

You’re my Lord, you’re waiting

in this beautiful heaven in the Sky.

My Savior and my Lord, you're,

my everything on high.

You’ve died for all my sins.

My thoughts are sometimes wrong,

but I pray for right, morning, noon and night.

You are my lifetime song.

Your gifts of love, so generous,

love is what you are.

My guiding light, my great delight,

you’re my early morning Star.
