IN GOD ALONE

Psalm 73:22-26 [Amplified Version] says, “…I was senseless and ignorant; I was like a beast [wild animal] before You. Nevertheless I am continually with you. You have taken hold of my right hand. You will guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to honor and glory. Whom have I in heaven [but you]? And besides you, I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart [spirit] may fail, But God is the rock and strength of my heart and my portion forever.” 

 Verse 28, “…As for me, it is good for me, it is good for me to draw near to God; I have made the Lord God [Adonai Jehovah] my refuge and placed my trust in Him, That I may tell of all Your works.”

There is no safer place in the universe than to be near to God [verse 28]. How easy it is for people to get so caught up in the affairs of life day after day that they neglect to spend time dwelling in their secret place [prayer closet] with god, communing with Him through the Holy Ghost. When we dwell in the secret place of the Most High [Psalm 91:1], praying in the Holy Spirit, He will make all things come to good. In Psalm 91:11 he said, “He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep [protect, guard, and guide] in all thy ways.”

All our hope, strength, wisdom, and understanding and blessings are only met in the LORD [Jehovah] and His Christ. In Christ alone is my hope and strength.

BEING DILIGENT

Diligence is defined as careful and persistent work or effort, and also close attention. In Hebrews 6:11 it tells us, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a REWARDER of them that DILIGENTLY seek him.”

When taken in context, it simply means that God wants you to believe that He exists; come to him for salvation; and know that He rewards those that carefully, and purposely seek after him. Those that do will pay attention to what God has to say. They will put persistence and effort into their Christian walk. They are not stagnant. They are hungry and thirsty for God. Those that do this will be rewarded.

This type of reward does not come to those that have a lukewarm relationship with God. This comes to those that have a fired up, passionate desire to “know” God and do his will.

The body of Christ has lost this diligence. It has replaced the persistence of seeking after God with seeking after prophetic words and feel-good messages. This will never bring us the rewards that God desires to give us.  

Like any parent that has a child that listens, God wants you to listen to what he has to say and DO IT! That is the kind of child that a parent rewards. The child that doesn’t listen and constantly rebels against any kind of instruction and discipline will not receive rewards from their parents or from God.

We must continuously seek after God. We must be continuously searching out His will through seeking Him and His word for truth. It is not a one-time experience. It is a lifestyle experience. The more we seek God, the more we are rewarded.  

Are you diligent in your walk with God? Do you seek after Him daily? Is he more important than friends, family, food, or even your church or ministry? Then, you can expect Him to reward you. If not, you are truly missing out. He wants to reward us, but there is a price to pay to receive them. The price? Your life. Give it to him daily and seek after Him daily and you will not be disappointed.

Prophetic Exhortation

Words either bring life or death. What are you speaking over yourself? Over others? Perhaps you need a little velcro on the lips? Take time to think before you speak. It will keep peace in your life. And when you do speak, NEVER SPEAK IN ANGER for you will regret it. Take it from someone that learned that personally.

There is a PLACE of quiet REST; And we KNOW that PLACE is NEAR to the HEART of GOD. So be like the ole frog and determine to go there OFTEN. Just always remember as you linger longer in God’s PRESENCE; You WILL receive the STRENGTH that it takes for the days ahead…And you WILL also find the WISDOM that you might even need today.

Communication is the heart of the family.

Communication in your marriage is like blood

To your body. Talk to each other kindly, lovingly.

Never go to bed angry. Admit your faults,

Say you’re sorry. Be who you really are,

Don’t wear a mask, a cover up, for God sees all.

Be genuine to yourself and others. Your children,

Hear and see you. Be a guide of love, stability,

For them. Be a kind communicator, you will be

Better for it, and those on the receiving end,

Will think highly of you. Be grateful you have

Eyes, ears, and speech, to communicate,

Some do not.
