DID YOU PASS THE TEST?

In II Timothy 2:15 it says, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” This was written to Timothy, a young minister who also was an evangelist. He was raised by a God-fearing mother and grandmother (Ch. 1:5 – Lois and Eunice). Apparently, he was dealing with those that were saying that he was too young, but Paul wrote to encourage him and not to let those that came against him deter him in his call.

To study meant to take the scriptures of the day, which were the Old Testament, and spend time learning what they said. You see, there was no New Testament in writing other than the letters penned by various writers. They had to study to rightly divide, or to separate truth from lies.

In this church age there are very few homes that do not have access to at least one Bible with both the Old and New Testaments. The Gideons have given Bibles out at schools for years, and they have placed them in motels with the hope that people would read them. In essence, we are without excuse. The studying of God’s word will help us when the “tests of life” come. We will learn how to pray, to love, to walk and to grow as Christians through studying. Many fail this test daily. Why? They have not studied.

Even in secular schools, tests are given. A good teacher gives a test for the primary purpose of seeing if the student has “learned” what was taught. It is not punishment to take a test. It is necessary if we are to obtain and keep knowledge.

Tests will come in many ways in life. We are told in James 1:2 to “…count it all joy when we fall into divers temptations (trials, tests), knowing this that the trying (testing) of your faith worketh patience.” Tests help us to grow. The beauty of these tests is that we get to take them with an “open book – the Bible.” If we fail, we get to take them again until we get it right.

We should take time to study God’s word with passion so we can be overcomers and get a good grade on the “life” test that each of us takes!

Why I paint rocks, cards and earrings

The rocks, greeting cards, magnets, and earrings that I draw and paint have a Christian theme and are a way to encourage people. The scriptures say that if we don't praise God then the rocks will, so this is a way to bring praise to Jesus for all he's done.

PROPHETIC WORD

As I was sitting at my table this morning, the Lord started speaking to me. The word that came forth was “late bloomers.”

Here is what He said:

“There will be two sides to late bloomers. There will be those that have been patiently waiting in the refining fire as I molded them, and nurtured them for a long time to bring them to this hour. They have been waiting for this season, and now it is here. They will rise up, and the wisdom that I have imparted to them for many years will pour out of them into others. This will be a time like no other for them. They thought they were put “on the bench” but, no, it was a time of refining until the right time has come. They are the late bloomers, but oh, saith the Lord, the bloom that has come forth from this is a fragrant smell in my nostrils. It has reached heaven, and now it shall reach others. Many lives will be changed because of these “late bloomers” and most of all, their lives have been changed also.

While these late bloomers are rising up, there is another side to the late bloomers: those controlled by Satan. They are also being released. Satan has deceived many, telling them that this is their greatest hour to overtake and destroy my children of light. There will be such darkness as these evil spirits wreak havoc against my children. Yet, those late bloomers of evil will not overtake my “late bloomers” of good. There will be a war of light against darkness. But evil will not win, for my late bloomers will rise up with my fire upon them and they shall burn through the darkness.

My children, this is not a time to be fearful. This is a time to be vigilant, standing strong in the fire that is upon you. You shall see many things that would bring fear, yet there is no fear in these late bloomers, for their faith has been tested, and tried in the fire, and will defeat the enemy.

Stand strong in this hour, for it will bring great chaos, and many will turn against the late bloomers because of their stand for righteousness. Remember, I am with you, my children. This is your time to bloom. This is your hour to overcome. This is your hour that you have been waiting for, so rise up in my power, and go forth as I lead you, saith the Lord.

Friday Thought For Today

God uses broken people to do some of the most miraculous things.

Think about Moses. He didn’t want to lead the Israelites to their promised land, and then he killed an Egyptian. And yet God used him.

David a man after God’s heart, had an adulterous affair and had the woman’s husband murdered. And yet God used him.

Saul of the New Testament, who became Paul, murdered Christians before he encountered Jesus. And yet God used him.

God has plans for each of us even in our fallen state. But God’s mercy and grace can see us through many seemingly unforgivable situations.

We are to live godly and righteous lives. He doesn’t want us to fall into sin. But His grace and mercy allows us to enter back into His presence when we repent.

Thank you Jesus for Your mercy and grace.
