The Living Christmas Tree-2017
The LCT presentations begin this Friday night at 7:00 p.m. Additional presentations are set for Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday at 3:00 p.m. Please continue to pray for Josh Thomas and others who are supplying leadership to the Living Christmas Tree ministry this year. The volunteer response has been terrific and we are anticipating and praying for strong crowds for each of the three presentations. Please pray, too, for the message and impact of the LCT in the hearts of those who experience these presentations. Also, would you be willing to make the effort to invite someone to this year's tree?  Thank you.
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
In my humble  opinion, the most important designated offering we receive annually is the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Our offering goal as a congregation this year is again $50,000. This offering is very important to my family. We save all year that we might give generously as God directs. I'm asking you to consider very prayerfully what you might give toward this strategic offering. This offering provides resources for the gospel work of our IMB missionaries. It is a great, eternal investment opportunity. The week of prayer for international missions is December 10-17. Our offering ingathering will be December 17 in both morning services. Please plan to give on that Sunday. I have discovered that often planned giving promotes more generous giving!

Proposed Budget for 2018 Overwhelmingly Adopted
The congregation voted to adopt the proposed budget for 2018 on Sunday morning, December 3. The vote tally was 276-yes and 13-no. Therefore, the proposed budget is adopted by a 96% affirmative vote. Thank you for your support of Field Street's operational budget. Thank you to those who supplied leadership in the crafting and adopting of our operational budget.

Merry Christmas!
My family would like to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas! Our family has experienced a significant change or two this fall, so we are especially looking forward to a few days at Christmas of being all together. Whatever your plans are for this Christmas season, I hope that your gatherings are filled with laughter, love and especially the joy of being in Christ. It's a remarkable blessing to be saved...saved from God's wrath, saved from the bondage of sin, and saved to a life to be lived in union with Christ. May this Christmas season be especially blessed as we celebrate the birth of our Savior and be reminded of God's indescribable gift! The Hall family is grateful to God for you and the love and kindness you have extended to us. Merry Christmas!

                                                                                                  See you Sunday!

 Living Christmas Tree Presentations
December 8 & 9 at 7:00 p.m.
December 10 at 3:00 p.m.
Doors will open 1 hour before the presentation

You will not want to miss the presentation of this year's Living Christmas Tree.  The LCT choir has spent months rehearsing the music along with numerous volunteers who have spent countless hours in preparation for this special ministry event.  Please be in prayer for all those involved in the presentation each evening as well as those who will be in attendance to hear the gospel message presented in such a unique way.  Pray that all that is said and sung will be honoring to God. Prayerfully consider who you will invite to one of these presentations.

God Bless,

Senior Adult Ministry

Young At Heart--Tuesday, January 9. . . we will complete the list and gather the money for the tickets to the Gospel Concert at Southwestern Seminary on Friday, February 2. The cost is $20 per person. Checks need to be made out to Field Street since we will order our tickets online with the church credit card. The sign-up list will be available at our meeting in January.

JOYFUL SOUND. . . will begin rehearsals on Tuesday, January 9th.

MABS. . . I plan to begin my next study "The Mind of Christ," in January. The senior adultsstarting date of the five-week study will be Monday, January 15 and go through Monday, February 12. I'm excited about this study. God's Word tells us, "Let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus!" That's quite a challenge. My preparation for this study has already been quite rewarding!

Just a reminder. . .our annual Senior Adult Revival will be April 22-25 with Dr. David Hardage as our guest preacher. David, of course, has ties with Cleburne through his wife and we're delighted that he is taking time to be with us. Put down this date. You don't want to miss a single service.
