Observance of the Lord's Supper
This Sunday, March 10, we will observe the Lord's Supper in both morning services. This observance will be very meaningful as we reflect upon and remember the sacrifice and death of Christ on the cross on behalf of sinners. Furthermore, we look forward to His triumphant return. May I urge you spend the appropriate time necessary to examine and prepare your heart to participate in this symbolic act of worship?
The Book of Revelation-the Victorious Christ!
Additionally, this Sunday we will begin a verse-by-verse sequential exposition of the book of Revelation. I am convinced that God's Spirit has put this series on my heart and mind to share with you. Consequently, I believe these sermons will be most timely. All one has to do is to observe, even casually, what is happening in our culture to come to the conclusion that we are indeed living in difficult, perilous, evil times.
Respectfully, America needs a spiritual awakening. The church needs a jolt, a revival! The church needs to wake up and shake off the hangover of complacency and apathy. Denominations need to be re-oriented to biblical faithfulness and obedience. Biblical values are under assault.
God has given us this extraordinary book to stir us to
WORSHIP, AWE, FAITHFULNESS, HOLINESS, and OBEDIENCE to CHRIST.
I am hopeful and praying that our pews will be filled with those who want to hear the message of this book--it's that unique and important. But, let's be honest, that probably will not happen. Sadly, many in the church are distracted and distant. And, you can bet that the enemy is going to work overtime to keep people from hearing about his defeat and Christ's victory. Please plan to be here on the Lord's Day if at all possible. We need you and you need to hear and heed the Word of God. It all begins this Sunday!
Would you join with me in praying for:
- God to use this series to stir our church in a manner that evokes repentance
- Greater resolve to live for His pleasure
- A greater awe of Him, and a determination to be faithful in faithless times
I'll stop just short of begging you to be here--I love you and want you to hear Revelation's message. I want you to love Christ more and to gain a greater vision of who He is and what He has done. I trust you will want to come, taste, and see that the Lord is good and His Word is true and sure. I anticipate seeing you this coming Lord's Day.
With much affection,
John Hall, Pastor

Music Ministry
Festival of Youth Choirs-Baylor University
The month of February was filled with many opportunities for growth and service in the Music and Worship Ministry at Field Street. Thank you for supporting our student choir as they participated in the 14th Annual Festival of Youth Choirs at Baylor University. Many of you prayed, brought snacks, and even wrote "warm fuzzies" for the students. It was a great weekend for the 25 students and sponsors who participated.
I observed about 80 people from our church who drove to Waco to support the students and many more of you watched online. Thank you for supporting the students on this project. I think everyone who witnessed the Festival Concert was truly blown away by the experience.
Palm Sunday Worship Service with The Jesus Painter
As we turn our attention to the future, we are busy preparing for a couple of worship opportunities around Holy Week. On Palm Sunday, we will have a
unique worship experience incorporating fine art.
The Jesus Painter
will be joining us for a Palm Sunday evening of worship. Here is what people are saying about the Jesus Painter.
"We had the most powerful worship experience we have ever had. People were weeping. The artist's spirit of humility really channeled what we were feeling and was very appreciated. We really appreciate the guy. Had a wonderful time talking with him. Definitely interested in bringing him back next year."--Brian Myers
"Just want to thank you for everything you and your ministry made possible during our Good Friday service. The service was amazing and Mark did a phenomenal job. Everyone loved his work and his heart for ministry."--Joey Santos
We are so fortunate to welcome The Jesus Painter to Field Street on Palm Sunday at 5:30 PM. This is a great event to invite your friends and neighbors. This unique worship experience will feature music from our choir, band, and orchestra. We will observe the Lord's Supper. fieldstreet.com/events
Instrumental Ministry
We continue to grow and develop our instrumental ministry. We have been meeting on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. in the choir room. If you have an
instrument collecting dust in your attic, would you
consider donating it to the church? We have some people who played in high school and college, but don't currently have an instrument. If you have one in the attic, we could possibly put it to work. If you have questions about joining our instrumental ministry, please email
Sing with the Choir on Palm Sunday and Resurrection Sunday!
Can you make a one-hour commitment for the next 4 weeks? If yes, join us for rehearsal as we learn some selections for Resurrection Sunday and Palm Sunday with The Jesus Painter. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM in the choir room. We have some challenging music, but it will be joyous to put it together! See you in rehearsal!
Further Down the Road in 2019
We will welcome Adam Crabb for our very first concert in our Summer Concert Series. On Sunday, June 2, at 6 P.M., Adam will bring his ministry to Cleburne for a powerful night of celebration. He has been referred to as the "face of youth" in the Southern Gospel world, often bridging the gap between grandparents, parents, and children. Adam's three years as the leader of the fan favorite "Crabb Revival" gave him the front man

experience that is now his comfort zone. His youthful approach to traditional lyrics and his willingness to minister in word or song makes an evening with Adam truly a one-man revival! This young man has traveled well over a million miles, sung on more than a million records (sold) and has seen much of the world as a very young man. When God handed out gifts and attractiveness, he sure didn't leave him out. However, if you met him on the street, his unassuming spirit and kind nature would surprise you as it does most. Adam is what we commonly refer to as a "gentle spirit" or "gentleman." He has never met a person he didn't love, and he has never seen a problem that was bigger than God.
Thank you for allowing me to serve Christ with you!

Student Ministry
The month of February was a busy, but rewarding, one for our student ministry. The activities of the month included our annual Student Dessert Auction, DiscipleNow Weekend, and YouthCue. I am overwhelmed at the generosity of this congregation and the support so many of you have shown toward our efforts to reach and disciple students. Thank You! Each of the aforementioned events were huge successes and benefited the "right now" and "big picture" vision of our student ministry. And none of it could have happened without you! Thank you for your investment through time, resources, energy, prayers and financial giving. God is doing a great work in our student ministry and our best days are ahead of us!.

And, in addition to the wonderful weather the Lord afforded, we had wonderful attendance. It was truly a "wonderful" night! YOUNG AT HEART We have two great programs coming in March and April. March 12--Brian Tullos April 9--Brandon Treadway Both of these young men are very talented singers. You're in for a treat!
