Continuing Progress on reducing the Debt on the Children's Building
As of March we now owe $328,157 on the Children's Building. We are getting closer and closer to paying off the indebtedness and we are within reach of our goal to pay off the entire debt by October of this year. Thank you for your continued faithfulness and sacrificial giving to retire the debt on this wonderful tool for ministry. If you have gotten behind on your commitment, or if you are new to Field Street and would like to contribute to help, you may catch up or join the ranks of contributors at any time! What a great day awaits us when we "burn the note" on the children's building.

Student Camp to Glorieta
Student Camp dates are June 15-19. The cost for camp this year is $400. Students may now register at any time. A deposit of $50 is required at the time of registration. To register, call the church office at 817.645.4376. We have forty (40) spots reserved, and the reservations are first come, first serve. If we exceed the reserved spots, we can seek to attain additional reservations. Sign up soon!

Student Minister Search Update
By the grace of God, we have made good progress in our search for a Student Minister. We have zeroed in on a specific candidate, and recently invited him and his fiancĂ©e to meet again with our Personnel committee and several of our workers and students from the student ministry. That meeting went well. I anticipate that we will seek to bring this young man before the church in view of a call the last Sunday of March. At that time more information will be made available relative to this young man. Please continue to pray for the remaining details to fall into place. By the way, it may interest you to know that our student ministry is doing well during this interim period. We are blessed at FSBC to have a tremendous group of dedicated, competent, dependable leaders serving in our student ministry. They have supplied positive guidance during this interim phase.

Annie Armstrong Easter Offering
The week of prayer for North American Missions is March 5-12. You will receive a prayer guide to assist you in praying strategically and thoughtfully. Furthermore, the ingathering for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering will be Sunday, March 26. Our church offering goal is $17,000. Please pray about and consider what you will contribute to this annual offering. Thank you.

Easter Sunday-Will You Invite?
Easter Sunday is April 16. This particular Sunday each year gives Christians an extraordinary opportunity to invite someone to be their guests on Easter. Will you consider making an extra special effort to reach out to a friend, a co-worker, a family member, or a neighbor and invite them to a Field Street worship service on Easter Sunday? it's a reality that people are more open and receptive to an invitation; let's seize the moment and opportunity!

Shadows of the Cross

On Palm Sunday evening we will be gathering together as a church family in worship of our Lord. We will specifically be looking to His death on the cross. The evening will be a time of corporate worship, music led by the choir, and ultimately taking the Lord's Supper together as a church family. This will be a very meaningful and reflective time to lead into Holy week, and ultimately the gathering of God's people to celebrate His resurrection and victory over the grave! Mark your calendars for Sunday evening, April 9 at 6:00 p.m. You will not want to miss this special service.

God Bless,
--Josh Thomas

Adult Mission Trip
On February 20-24, a group of 13 men and women traveled to East Texas Baptist Encampment to work with  the Texas Baptist Men Builders on a project to enlarge the worship center. Some our women joined the TBM's wives on a project for the Threads of Love Ministry.

The men were on a construction deadline because they are hosting a Women's Retreat this weekend. While we didn't complete all the work needed, we helped them get to a point where they could have the Worship Center 'functional' for the retreat.

I am honored to be able to join many of our groups as they use their unique skills and talents to further the Kingdom!

Spring 2017 Church Softball League

Senior Adult Ministry

PERMIT ME. . .to look back for just a minute. The Valentine Banquet turned out wonderful. We had great attendance and a great program. It was a joy to have so many from other churches to join us. Tammy Whitehurst certainly lived up to her billing: "We Gotta Laugh to Live!"

For this month's eFocus article, I'd like to focus on several of our ministries. The first one I'd like to mention is our Bereavement Committee. They are charged with the responsibility to provide a meal here at the church for families who have lost a loved one. Linda Ball serves as chairman of this committee and they do a great job in providing this wonderful ministry to hurting families. Serving with Linda are: Rose Ann Brashier, Jo Ann Graham, Judy Hall, Jan Ridlehoover, Glenda Self and Connie Parr. I'm so grateful to these ladies, not only for the ministry they provide, but for the compassion with which they do it. This ministry is completely "self-supporting." We started out with just a little money to provide the first meal and God has blessed it beyond our every expectation.

The other ministry I'd like to mention is our Homebhomeboundound Ministry. At the present time we have 12 teams with 30 visitors. We minister to several private homes as well as 8 nursing, rehab and assisted living centers. We have our monthly meeting on the first Thursday of every month from 8:30-9:30 AM in the Dining Room. Each team's assignment list will change every month. In addition to providing reading and devotional materials, team members take time to visit, encourage and pray with each person. This is a wonderful ministry and I'm so proud of our Homebound Teams.

REMEMBER. . .the Senior Adult Revival is coming soon--April 23-26 with Dr. Fred Meeks as our guest preacher. Put those dates on your calendar. You won't want to miss a single service.
