With a Grateful Heart. . .
Do you have a grateful heart? In a few short weeks we will gather with our families and friends to observe Thanksgiving. May I urge you to carve out a few moments on or before Thanksgiving Day to return thanks to God for the blessings of His grace both in your salvation and in your life here on earth? We choose to live with a grateful heart or not. You can move through life with a sense of gratitude or you can move through life missing opportunities to say "Thank You" to God and to others for the many acts of kindness you have been shown. Be careful to avoid that which can steal away your joy and gratitude. Remember, those who have been forgiven much and given much both love much and are grateful for much. I pray your heart will be filled with gratitude as Thanksgiving approaches. By the way, our family is exceedingly grateful for you.

With That Said. . .
I want to make you aware of at least two opportunities to give and share. First, please make plans to fill at least one shoebox through our Operation Christmas Child annual emphasis. Operation Christmas Child is a ministry of Samaritan's Purse, and at Christmas time, thousands of shoeboxes will be filled and delivered to children around the world. What a joy to share with others out of our abundance! We are most like God when we give. It would be terrific if every family, which is a part of the Field Street family, would fill at least ONE shoebox. Materials are available just outside of our media center. Collection Sunday is November 11. Secondly, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering Ingathering will be Sunday, December 9. Our church offering goal is $65,000. To my knowledge, this is the highest offering goal in the history of our church. I am asking you to pray about what God would have you give and come prepared on this special Sunday to give as the Lord leads you. I am convinced that all of us can give more generously when we plan our giving! Together, we can meet and exceed this goal and God will be glorified and praised. Thank you for prayerfully considering these giving opportunities.

2019 Proposed Budget. . .
Very soon you will have access to information regarding the proposed operating budget for 2019. Please watch for details inside the Sunday morning worship bulletins for further details. God has blessed us throughout all of 2018 with a positive operating balance. We praise Him for this reality. I think you will be pleased with what will be proposed.

The Living Christmas Tree. . .

Thank you for praying for the ministry of the Living Christmas Tree. The dates for the presentations are December 7-9. The presentations on December 7 & 8 will be at 7:00 p.m., and the presentation on December 9 will be at 3:00 p.m. Please help us get the word out about this ministry. Invite people to come. It will be well worth their time. The name of Christ will be high and exalted throughout the presentation. God will be glorified and magnified. People need to experience the life-transforming power of the message of the gospel. The music will be inspiring. The message in the music will be clear. The meaning of Christmas will not be forgotten. Pray for Billy Woods as he gives overall leadership to this massive effort. Pray for so many who are contributing. May God use this ministry for His glory especially at the season of Christmas.

The Living Christmas Tree 2018!

December 7 & 8, 7:00 PM

December 9, 3:00 PM

Doors open 1 hour before presentations

The Living Christmas Tree presentations are rapidly approaching. The presentations will be December 7 & 8 at 7:00 PM and December 9 at 3:00 PM. This is a Cleburne and Johnson County tradition that you do not want to miss! This will be the 27th Living Christmas Tree presented by Field Street.  It will be a meaningful time of worship through music looking to the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Many people invest countless hours preparing for these presentations. This year's presentation is entitled "One King," and it is sure to be a memorable experience.  If you have never seen a Living Christmas Tree, it is sure to become a family tradition. We hope to see you there.

Discipling Teens to Own Their Faith

Senior Adult Ministry

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? . . .  It's November! It's the month to "fall back" and claim the hour we lost in the spring. It's almost Thanksgiving and around the corner is. . .Christmas! Regardless of whether you're having fun or not, time passes. . .quickly. But, there's a lot of opportunities that await us in 2018.

YOUNG AT HEART HOLIDAY BANQUET--Tuesday evening, November 20. It will begin with a meal at 5:30 PM in the Family Life Center; followed by a great time of thanksgiving and praise at 6:30 PM in the Worship Center. We have some "special guests" who will be with us for the program. You're going to be "pleasantly surprised!" Don't miss it! This will be our last meeting of Young at Heart for 2018.

JOYFUL SOUND will be quite busy in

December.  On Sunday morning, December 9, in both the 8:30 & 11:00 services, we will sing our Christmas music. And then, on Tuesday, December 11, we will present two concerts of Christmas music at Town Hall Estates and the Wren Place.
