Field Street Is Once Again DEBT FREE!
On February 24, 2008, we broke ground on the construction of the children's building. On October 29, 2017, I shared with the church family that the indebtedness on the children's building has been eliminated! To God be the glory. I have thanked Him over and over for His favor to us in these last two years with the intentional push to pay off the debt. Thank you, church for being so responsive, generous, and sacrificial in your giving, especially these last two years to work together, under the Lord's guidance and provision, to move into another season of being debt free. It's a wonderful finish line to cross, church. We are blessed with a terrific ministry tool to house our ministries to children and their families. I know that our greatest days are still in front of us as we seek the Lord and seek to fulfill our high calling in this community.

Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
In my humble opinion, the most important designated offering we receive annually is the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Our offering goal as a congregation this year is again $50,000. This offering is very important to my family. We save all year that we might give generously as God directs. I'm asking you to consider very prayerfully what you might give toward this strategic offering. This offering provides resources for the gospel work of our IMB missionaries. It is a great, eternal investment opportunity. The week of prayer for international missions is December 3-10. Our offering ingathering will be December 17 in both morning services. Please plan to give on that Sunday. I have discovered that often planned giving promotes more generous giving!

PBJ Groups Final Fall Meeting
The response to our PBJ groups initiative has been very good. Our final fall gathering will be on Sunday, November 12. We will take a break with these gatherings the rest of November, December, and then look to begin again most likely in February 2018. In the meantime, we want to engage in evaluation and further planning as we look to the spring. Thank you for your participation.

The Living Christmas Tree, December 8-10
Please pray regularly for Josh Thomas and others who are supplying leadership to the Living Christmas Tree ministry this year. The volunteer response has been terrific and we are anticipating and praying for strong crowds for each of the three presentations. Please pray, too, for the message and impact of the LCT in the hearts of those who experience the presentations. Also, would you be willing to make the effort to invite someone to this year's tree? Thank you.

What's Next after 1 Thessalonians?
I believe the Lord has led me to develop a series of messages from the story of Job. The intent is to begin this series on January 7. I think this series will touch many hearts in a variety of ways as we explore the rich story of Job, and what Job's story reveals about God and about what happens over the course of our lives. Please pray for the preparations of this series. Thank You.

                                                                                                  See you Sunday!
     --John Hall, Pastor

P.S. You will soon have access to a copy of the proposed budget for 2018. Thanks to a variety of individuals who provide input and direction to a disbursement plan for the good stewardship of what God entrusts to us.

LOOKING FOR SOMEWHERE TO SERVE
We are looking for 1-2 individuals who are willing to serve by running our lyric projection computer in our 11:00 a.m. worship service. It is very user-friendly and all training will be provided. If this is something in which you would be interested in doing, please email Josh, jthomas@fieldstreet.com

LIVING CHRISTMAS TREE
  lct construct
WE NEED YOUR HELP!! It is hard to believe that at the end of this month we will be constructing the Living Christmas Tree for the 27th time! There are a few big dates coming later in this month that we need all the help we can get.

Monday, November 20 @ 8 PM--Loading the steel onto trailers and moving all the greenery to the gym. If you can help, please meet by the bus barn that Monday evening.

Sunday, November 26, following the 11 AM --Constructing the Tree. We need all hands on deck for this. The more people we have the quicker we can get the tree assembled. There are jobs for everyone, not just tree construction! We will provide a hot lunch after the service for those helping with the construction of the tree.

Monday-Wednesday, November 27-29, 9 AM--3 PM
Decoration of the Tree

These are some great ways to get involved with the Living Christmas Tree even if you are not singing on it! If you would like to help financially support the Living Christmas Tree, there are contribution envelopes available in both the Welcome Center and the church office. We look forward to a wonderful Christmas season here at Field Street.

HANDBELLS
If you have any interest in playing the handbells here at Field Street, please talk with Josh Thomas, or send him an email, jthomas@fieldstreet.com

Mission Statement: Teaching students to love, pursue, and worship Jesus while leading others to do the same.

Our student ministry is off to a vibrant and exciting start this fall. We currently have strong programming and attendance for our Bible Fellowship classes, Wednesday night gatherings, and Sunday night Covenant Groups. Our students are responding well to some new opportunities to lead and learn.

I'm very proud to announce that we currently have 25 students serving on the new Elevate Leadership Teams we recently began. The purpose behind these teams is to generate responsibility, opportunity, and ownership among our students in what is truly their ministry. Those serving have demonstrated true leadership and have stepped up and are serving in several roles.

If you would like to serve our students in any capacity, the biggest area of need is with our new 1-on-1 discipleship program. This is a new aspect of our ministry that aims to partner an older, more mature believer with a young student whose potential is waiting to be tapped into. This ministry is centered around the commands of Jesus given in the Great Commission. If you would like to serve in this area of ministry, or anywhere else, please visit our website or contact our church office.

Senior Adult Ministry

PUT DOWN THIS DATE:  Tuesday, November 21. It's the date for our Holiday Banquet. it will begin with a meal at 5:30 PM in the Family Life Center followed by a great service filled with gospel music in the Worship Center. We're excited that North Cleburne Baptist Church is going to join us on that night. There will be special music from Joyful Sound and our Ladies' Trio. We will join in singing a lot of the "old" hymns and gospel songs. It's going to be a great night!

JOYFUL SOUND will be singing in both services on Sunday, December 10th. It's hard to believe that Christmas is "just around the corner."

A Sign-Up List is already filling up for the "Great Evening of Gospel Music." The date is Friday, February 2. It will be our second annual trip to Southwestern Seminary for the gospel music. We'll try to complete the list at our Young at Heart meeting in January.
