Frequently Asked Questions About Naloxone Kits in Workplaces

Problematic opioid use is a workplace hazard—and workers in construction and its related trades are particularly vulnerable. In Ontario, high-risk workplaces must now keep a naloxone kit on site, and have a worker trained in its use, in order to help prevent opioid overdoses. This guide is intended to help answer employer questions about the requirements for naloxone in the workplace, including how to determine if your workplace must comply with the legislation.
