FSC JEC Annual General Meeting: On August 16th at the Joint Executive Annual General Meeting, the FSC bid a fond farewell to Donna Bisch, Stericycle, who completed her term as the JEC Chairperson. We are excited to share that Danielle Levitt, Pival International Inc., has moved into the role of Chairperson along with Rick Brown, Northbridge Insurance, who was elected into the position of Vice-Chairperson. Thank you Donna, Daniele and Rick for all of your efforts in keeping Ontario’s road safe and for supporting the membership of the FSC.

Occupational Health Updates

Occupational Health and Safety Day- Save the Date: The Occupational Disease and Research LMHSC will be holding an Occupational Health and Safety Day on November 30, 2023 at 21 Voyager Ct, Etobicoke.


This in-person only event will have presentations on a variety of topics related occupational health and safety.

Occupational Hygiene Consulting Services: Within the construction, transportation, and utilities sectors, workers are often exposed to a variety of chemical (airborne dusts and contaminants) and physical (heat stress, noise) hazards. Carrying out an exposure assessment can allow you to determine the level of risk against hazardous chemical or physical agents. To learn more about the types of exposure assessments, and how it can apply at your workplace, visit IHSA’s Occupational Health page. 

Consultations are open! The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) is seeking comments and feedback on proposed amendments relating to heat stress and poor outdoor air quality regulations. Comments are due by September 18, 2023.
