Notes from the Interim Executive Director
As we mark the one year anniversary of the FSPCA quarterly newsletter, we have received a lot of positive feedback from many of you that the quarterly newsletters are a great forum for sharing the latest development in FSMA related training and outreach activities within the FSPCA community. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our newsletter contributors and readers in making the FSPCA quarterly newsletters a great resource for all of us.
Following the success of six virtual Lead Instructor courses in 2021, we have just successfully completed another Preventive Controls for Human Food (PCHF) virtual Lead Instructor course in February 2022, where 15 food safety professionals from four countries were trained to be Lead Instructors. Due to the high demand for Lead Instructor courses, we have scheduled additional PCHF virtual Lead Instructor courses monthly for the next few months. In addition, a Foreign Supplier Verification Programs virtual combination course has been scheduled for March 28-April 1. Further information on upcoming Lead Instructors courses are described in this newsletter.
In this issue of the newsletter, you will also note the Food Safety Matters podcast on FSPCA, Save-the-Date for our 2022 FSPCA Annual Conference, additional resources for our Lead Instructors, as well as our approaches for consideration of translation of FSPCA training manuals and teaching materials into other languages.
I look forward to working closely with you for a greater 2022.
