MORE WINTER FLIGHTS BRING MORE PASSENGERS
It has been a great winter season for Sun Valley - epic snow, happy skiers, and busy businesses. Along with the snow - a key driver of our winter tourism - SUN airports stats show that more airline seats and more marketing have also continued to bring more air passengers to SUN. This all adds up to a big economic boost to our community.  Happy Spring!

SUMMER/FALL 2017 AIR SERVICE SCHEDULE

While most of the SUN peak summer season flights are available for booking now, FSVA is currently working to finalize the complete summer/fall 2017 flight schedule with our airline partners. We expect the full schedule to be published by early April.

MEETINGS WITH AIRLINES - PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE

FSVA recently meet with several of our key airline partners to discuss service opportunities and schedules for 2018 and beyond, which includes potential new nonstop routes as well as ongoing strategic expansion of service from key markets. We also gathered information from a variety of airline executives and experts regarding key industry trends that are important factors in their network planning decisions. Successful air service development takes years of planning and commitment by both the airline and the community, and we are continuously researching and evaluating the best possible options for SUN.

WHAT SUN AIR TRAVELERS ARE SAYING....

"It was so great to recently take the nonstop Alaska flight to Portland from SUN rather than driving to Boise or driving to Portland which I have done many, many times.   Thanks to Fly Sun Valley Alliance for working so hard and long to get this new nonstop flight to Portland.  I was surprised and impressed on how many families and other passengers were on the flights."

Alaska/Horizon Air RNP Approach Procedure is reducing diversions at SUN
Considering the incredibly snowy winter season we have had in SUN, this new proprietary approach procedure could not have been introduced in SUN at a better time. With its ability to allow more flights to safely land and take off in inclement weather, the system is getting good reviews by SUN passengers on the SEA, LAX, and PDX flights, as well as by the FAA.
