We are hosting Holiday Break Camps at Memorial Park! Designed for youth ages 7–17, campers will build their golf skills through fun, hands-on rotations in putting, chipping, full swing, and on-course play. Each camp runs Monday–Wednesday from 9:00am–12:00pm.
• Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 23–25
• Christmas Break: Dec. 21–23
• New Year’s Break: Dec. 28–30
| | Does Your Student Need Volunteer Hours? | We can help with that! Our Holiday Camps take place during school breaks when many parents are at work, and we're looking for responsible teens to help our coaches create a fun, engaging experience for younger participants. It's a great way to earn volunteer hours, build leadership skills, and stay active during the holidays. | | Celebrating a Milestone and Honoring a Legacy at Quail Valley | |
First Tee Greater Houston and Houston Golf Association recently celebrated the completion of $250,000 in capital improvements at Quail Valley Golf Course, including a new equipment shed, donor recognition sign, and pavilion that provide lasting benefits for First Tee participants and the Missouri City community.
The project was made possible through more than a decade of support from dedicated advocates including Floyd and Linda Emery, whose vision helped transform the site into one of First Tee Greater Houston's largest and most successful program locations. What began with just three participants has grown to serve hundreds of local youth and families each year.
As we celebrate this milestone, we also remember and honor Linda Emery, whose passion, generosity, and unwavering commitment helped make this dream a reality. Her legacy will continue to impact generations of young people through the opportunities this facility provides.

Each year, First Tee – Greater Houston is invited to nominate a limited number of participants to apply for First Tee National Opportunities—once-in-a-lifetime experiences designed to support personal growth, leadership, and life skills development through golf.
FTGH students have traveled far and wide for these events. Ryan, Leslie, and Gabriela played in the PURE Insurance Championship last month. Check out their stories!

First Tee Greater Houston participants Gabby Sison, Ryan Lopez, and Leslie Dicicco recently represented our chapter at the 2026 PURE Insurance Championship Impacting First Tee, experiencing an unforgettable week at Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill.
For Gabby, competing at Pebble Beach was a dream come true and a full-circle moment after years of imagining herself on one of golf's most iconic stages. Ryan's experience was equally memorable, as he was paired with major champion Y.E. Yang, who generously shared advice, encouragement, and life lessons throughout the tournament. Both participants spoke about the incredible people they met, the lasting memories they created, and the valuable lessons they learned both on and off the course.
From walking the fairways of Pebble Beach to learning from accomplished professionals, all three participants represented First Tee Greater Houston with pride. Their experiences serve as a reminder of the life-changing opportunities made possible through First Tee and the impact the game can have on young people both on and beyond the golf course.
Keep an eye out for more information about the 2027 National Opportunity Selection Process.

We're excited to welcome First Tee – Greater Houston alum Kendall Jackson as the Alumni Speaker for the 2027 Core Values Luncheon. Kendall's golf journey began at F.M. Law Park Golf Course, where she discovered the game through First Tee before going on to star at Howard University, earn multiple collegiate victories, and become one of the nation's top HBCU golfers.
Today, Kendall is pursuing her dream of playing on the LPGA Tour while giving back through her own foundation. As we continue investing in the future of F.M. Law Park Golf Course through our capital campaign, Kendall's story is a powerful reminder of what's possible when young people have access to a place to learn, grow, and thrive.
