Apathy or Action?
Last month I preached a sermon to a group of seniors preparing to graduate from high school and many people who had already graduated from high school. The sermon was about two choices - apathy or action. Apathy is a lack of interest. We think, "I don't care!" Action is like the
Nike slogan - "Just do it!"
I believe that most of us underestimate how much God wants to do in our lives and through our lives. I also believe that every human being has a unique calling on his or her life. Each of us was created with intention and purpose. Are we going to discover and fulfill God's calling or are we not interested? Are we going to choose apathy or action?
We Met the Challenge!
Many, Many Thanks to all who answered the Mothers' Day Challenge to add to our three endowments that support our Children's Ministry, The Preschool and The Chadwick Scholarship Fund. You gave a total of $1659 which will be sent with the $1,000 match to the United Methodist Foundation where it will be invested and work for our children and youth today and well into the future.
Please remember that you still may contribute to any of these funds.
