Thais and Doug Kilday (brother of church member Dan Kilday) will share their story from a year-long mission trip to Cambodia with IJM, a global organization that protects the poor from violence throughout the developing world. IJM partners with local authorities to rescue victims of violence, bring criminals to justice, restore survivors, and strengthen justice systems. English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are offered at no cost in our Family Life Center weekly on Mondays and Thursdays. Guests can practice their English conversation skills and develop friendships to support them outside the classroom. Although the teachers are volunteers, materials, childcare, utilities for the FLC, and refreshments for the social hours all cost money. Contributions at the altar rail offering during the month of August go to support this quiet but powerful ministry.
