Melissa Biegert is a long-time member of the First Church community, volunteer youth minister, and certified candidate for ordination as a Deacon in the Rio Texas Conference, UMC. She works as the High School Programs Academic Success Director for Austin Community College and serves as a Chaplain Intern with the University of Texas Police Department.

Reach Beyond Mission 2021
Registration Now Open!
Reach Beyond Mission is the middle school mission trip for FUMC youth that have completed 6th, 7th, and 8th grades taking place in Austin, the week of July 18-July 23. Registration is $100 and total cost is $350. Register Online.
Manna Bags Needed
We are collecting assembled manna bags for our hungry neighbors experiencing homelessness to be distributed by Officer Borton and distributed through the Homeless Outreach Street Team and the Downtown Austin Community Court. Completed manna bags may be dropped off at the Family Life Center. Email Pastor Cathy at cathy@fumcaustin.org for her phone number to coordinate drop-off.

Central Texas Food Bank
CTFB provides essential services to neighbors in need across 21 counties with the goal to always provide food to the neighbors that need it most. Every dollar donated provides four meals for our Central Texas neighbors in need. Gifts can be made online or a check marked “CT Food Bank” mailed to the church during November.
