On May 25th, the Fund for Women (FFW) hosted the Annual Grant Awards Dinner in Dover, Delaware. Debra J. Quinton was awarded the Driving Force Award and recognized for her commitment to the FFW through creative graphic design and volunteer engagement with our Sussex County Development Committee. Representatives from 15 different nonprofit organizations that received 2022 grants totaling $198,600 were in attendance. Thank you to Dr. Michelle Drew from Ubuntu Black Family Wellness Collective for speaking about their 2022 programming. The FFW would also like to thank our 2022 Grants Review Committee for their dedication in reviewing applications this year. Hooray for May, It's Galentine's Day!
Kent County Development Chair, Peni Warren, hosted a house party on May 1 to celebrate “Hooray for May, It’s Galentine’s Day.” Two new Founders signed up at the event in Dover, DE. Thank you, Peni for hosting this event!

Tea and Philanthropy
The Sussex County Development Committee hosted their first event of the year with Tea and Philanthropy on April 22nd at the home of First Founder award recipient (2021), Cheryl Mitchell. Thank you, Cheryl for hosting this event!
Hello Spring at the Senator's Clubhouse
The Sussex County Development Committee also hosted a patio party on May 17th to say "Hello, Spring" at the Senators Clubhouse in Lewes. Sussex chair Kelly Sheridan co-hosted with committee members Sue Millard and Joan Millard, and welcomed Amanda Watson of La Red Health Center, a 2022 grantee for the FFW. Welcome to three new Founders that joined at this event!
