The Enamelist Society Conference - Student Supply Lists Available

We are just a few months away from the 2019 Conference! We have a few Workshop openings left. For pre-Conference Workshops, there is one spot in Sydney Scherr's class. For post-Conference, there is one spot in Sarah Perkins' class and 1 spot in Sharon Massey's class. Thanks to everyone that has signed up so far!

The student supply lists are now available. Follow this link to the Workshops page and you can click on your instructor's name to see the list. If there is no link on your instructor's name, there is nothing extra you need to bring. If you have any questions you can contact the instructor.

The 2019 Conference, titled Alchemy5, will be similar to previous conferences; the morning sessions filled with a keynote, panels, speakers and a general membership meeting. The afternoons consist of "breakout" sessions where multiple presentations and/or demonstrations on various technical or marketing topics are held every hour. Evening events include an opening reception for the Exhibitions, our Saturday night auctions and the Sunday night closing party (we will send out another email regarding this dinner in the near future). We are still accepting auction donations! Click here for the auction donation form . The ever popular pin swap begins as attendees arrive and a vendor's area will be available throughout the conference to browse and purchase enamel related items and books.

We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Call for Artists - Metal Museum
The Metal Museum is calling for entries to the Tributaries exhibition, and has recently streamlined their application process.

The Tributaries exhibition series began in 2008 with the goal of supporting underrepresented and under-recognized metal artists with solo exhibitions at the Metal Museum. Derived from the Museum’s location along the Mississippi River, as well as from the focus of the exhibition series, Tributaries features artists whose work is beginning to have a significant impact on the metal arts community. Along with the exhibition, Tributaries artists travel to the Museum to present a gallery talk or slide lecture and some artists elect to teach workshops in the Museum’s smithy, foundry or small metals studio.

Applications for potential Tributaries exhibitions are accepted on a rolling basis.
