From the artist:

" Asian, Medieval, and Byzantine art often influence my designs. Observing nature, traveling extensively, and living in the Berkshires inspire my landscapes and urban scenes. I enjoy the meticulous process of shaping cloisonné wires, experimenting with colors, and layering the many levels of fused enamel. When polished and mounted in a setting, I have produced a beautiful, unique, and wearable piece of cloisonné jewelry ."

The Enamelist Society Conference - Online Instant Gallery

Thank you to all of the members who brought in work for the exhibition in the Instant Gallery. It was a wonderful exhibition and we think it should be shared with the whole membership. If you had work in the 2019 Instant Gallery at the Conference, consider submitting your images into the Instant Gallery Online Exhibition.

Entry Procedure

Only work actually exhibited in the 2019 Instant Gallery will be accepted.
Submit .jpeg or .jpg files with 650-700 pixels on the longest dimension, 72 dpi.
Files should have last name, first name, number of piece (ex. Smith_John 1)
In the body of your email please include your name, the number of the piece, the title of the piece, materials, dimensions, and enameling technique(s) used.
Images should be of professional quality - no distracting backgrounds, etc.

"Jim and I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who welcomed us during our first time attending an Enameling Society Conference, while in Eugene Oregon. Joe Spencer was correct when he told us that being part of the enameling society is like having an extended family. We are very grateful to be a part of this family. Kim Nogueira - Exhibitions

We are pleased to announce The Enamelist Society member Kim Nogueira is having several of her pieces included in upcoming exhibitions.

She will have a small collection of enameled earrings in FLAUNT: A showcase of contemporary earrings at The Smithery in Columbus, OH from September 26-November 3. She will also have a small collection of enameled pieces in Tales of the Subconscious at Gill Wing Jewellery in London, UK from October 4-November 6.

Two of her enameled works will also be included in the upcoming exhibition Connections/Connessioni: The Association for Contemporary Jewellery (ACJ) is working with the Associazione Gioiello Contemporaneo (AGC) on a two-country touring exhibition from November 2019, running to the end of 2020. 25 makers have been selected from each organisation, and work is coming from jewellers based in Japan, Korea, Australia, USA, Virgin Islands and several European countries, as well as Italy and the UK. This exhibition will be travel around Europe:

November 7, 2019-January 3, 2020 at The Goldsmith's Centre, London, UK

February 19-May 17, 2020 at The Lighthouse, Glasgow, Scotland

June 6-14, 2020 at the Museo di Storia Naturale del Mediterraneo
