Easter Service
Ancient human rhythms associated with the rebirth of life in Spring and the story of a prophetic teacher who brought hope to a struggling people come together on Easter. What is there that we Unitarian Universalists can celebrate in this season? What does it mean in the world in which we find ourselves at this moment? The service will include an interactive story for all ages by Andrea, a blessing by Rev. Andrée, a homily by Rev. Susan, and a piece by the Adult Choir. Both Wayne Schneider on organ and Sam Whitesell on piano will help us celebrate.

Family Ministry will hold an egg hunt outside between services at 10:15 a.m.

From Our FUUSB Board of Trustees
Dan House, Vice President, Board of Trustees

The FUUSB Board of Trustees would like to once again thank the congregation for your support in the decision to seek a developmental minister for the FUUSB. Your input and feedback regarding our goals for this next step in our ministry was, and continues to be, crucial to helping us fulfill our mission as a congregation.

The search for a developmental minister is similar to the process for finding and hiring an interim minister. Both are hired by the Board of Trustees rather than called by the congregation. Both searches have very short time frames, and a small task force to review applications and conduct interviews is typically appointed by the Board of Trustees. Our task force consists of two board members (Dan House and Leandre Waldo) and two congregants (Suzy Comerford and Justin Jackson). Working in consult with the UUA office of transitional ministry, the task force is in the process of evaluating several very qualified ministers. This includes viewing sermons, holding online interviews/discussions with candidates, and reaching out to references.

We expect to present a candidate to the board within the next two weeks. We will keep you informed of our progress. If you have questions or comments, please feel free to reach out to any of the task force members.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt!
null Erika Reif

We ask that each family bring in one dozen filled plastic  eggs  per child participating. Due to several life-threatening food allergies among the children, please fill the  eggs  with non-food items only. Ideas for  egg -fillers are: stickers, tattoos, chalk, flower bulbs, coins, bouncy balls, small toy figures, and rings/bracelets. Get creative! It's fun to see all the great ideas that pop out of the  eggs .

Regardless of weather, the  hunt  will take place in the Memorial Garden at 10:15 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 21. If you can volunteer to hide  eggs  and to help with the event, please contact Erika Reif at

Stewardship Update
The Stewardship Team says THANK YOU to all who pledged and made for a successful campaign this year! We are so grateful that so many of you responded quickly and pledged generously and on time, and were thoughtful about planning your annual contribution to our Society's financial foundation. We are also grateful for the support of our ministers, Rev. Susan and Rev. Andr ée, our staff, our UU storytellers, and especially our Board of Trustees who really stepped up and helped with the campaign, from telling their stories to serving pancakes at last week's Gratitude Sunday Pancake Breakfast! We also met our challenge match - 20 households were moved to increase their giving for next year by at least $1000 - a huge thank you to these UUs!!

If you haven't pledged yet, your support is still vital and we will be calling you. Please pledge now to support our Society and get off our list-of-people-to-contact. Go to  uusociety.org/donate/stewardship/ to pledge online now.

We will announce winners of our Stewardship Raffle Prizes in next week's eNews; thank you for your patience!
