Being BeLoved
Sunday, January 28, 2024 at 10:15am
Rev. Parisa Parsa
We round out our month of exploring the Gift of Liberating Love with a meditation on belonging: giving and receiving the gift of connection in community. How do we renew our belonging after we’ve been at odds? What deepens and enriches our connections, and what can threaten them?

PUTTING THE FUN IN FUUSN
The FUUSN Services Auction is fast approaching - Saturday, February 3rd at 5:30pm. This is an enjoyable annual social event which also raises funds for FUUSN. There is a lively Voice Auction for great offerings such as weekends at vacation homes and seats at dinners prepared by some of FUUSN's best cooks. There is also a simultaneous Silent Auction for other wonderful offerings. Nearly all of the services offered for bid are donated by FUUSN folks.
Dinner will be served buffet style and will include plant based and gluten free options. There will be wine, beer and assorted soft drinks.
A great feature is that there will be a separate party for kids with adult childcare so that parents are free to relax.
There is an entry fee of $10 for adults, and there is no obligation to bid. So you can just enjoy the food, beverages, and friendly companionship if you like.
Over the years, this has proven to be one of the most treasured events at FUUSN and is a great way for new folks to make connections.
Also as part of the Services Auction, tickets to a Red Sox game and three gift cards to local restaurants and specialty food shops will be raffled. You can buy raffle tickets at the Services Auction table or at the auction itself. The winning tickets will be drawn at the auction, but you do not need to be present to win.
No need to RSVP. Just show up. We look forward to seeing you.

Donate to the Services Auction
We are always looking for donations of services, particularly from folks who have not donated services in the past. You can view last year’s Silent Auction and Voice Auction offerings for some idea of what will be offered this year. But feel free to be creative in thinking about what service you can donate.
Questions or if you want to discuss offering a service: Please contact Pat Rohan.

Your Ops Council continues to monitor the Covid wastewater levels and public health recommendations. As cases rise with a new variant again, and we also are seeing increases in hospitalizations due to RSV and flu, we are encouraged by the fact that our current practices and recommendations align with current public health guidance. We especially encourage anyone eligible to be up to date on Covid boosters!
As a reminder, here are our guidelines for FUUSN gatherings:
-
Stay home if you feel unwell and definitely if you have tested positive for a communicable illness.
- Wear a mask if you feel well but may have been exposed.
- Remember that the last few rows of pews in the sanctuary are reserved for folks masking due to increased vulnerability to illness, and respect that space appropriately.
