To All PLCB Members:

Please find a message from Lori Bornman, Chief, Labor Relations Division, PLCB below:

As you saw in the Governor’s message yesterday, employees who are impacted by the end of the paid office closing will receive a call from HR staff between Monday, April 6, and Friday, April 10. In the meantime, we encourage you to visit  a new website  set up by the Office of Administration to better explain the leave available to employees in different scenarios. Impacted employees will want to look at the  information for employees who will need to use leave due to their store/office being closed . Employees who are  currently required to work and will continue working  or teleworking can obtain information on new federal leave programs if they cannot work due to illness or childcare.

I would also like to address the timing of continued pay. The Paid Office Closing is ending on April 10, 2020. Employees will receive their normal paychecks on April 17, 2020. Impacted employees, if they do not use paid leave, will see a reduced (one week) paycheck on May 1, 2020.

I encourage everyone to check out the information on the above websites for the situation that applies to them, and impacted employees may plan ahead for their HR call by preparing any questions they have and thinking about what kind of leave they may want to use in advance. HR will be calling you at the number(s) you have listed in SAP. If you miss a call, don’t worry; you will get a name and direct number to call the HR employee back. While it may be frustrating to wait, this is the best way to reach a high volume of employees in the most organized manner.

Thank you.
