FORT WORTH, TEXAS, January 3, 2023 – In one of the longest held traditions during the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, auctions featuring a variety of beef cattle breeds will take to the sale ring beginning Saturday, January 14.
Seventeen Stock Show auction sales generated nearly $10 million in commerce in 2022. The most popular may be the Southwestern Exposition Invitational Commercial Heifer Show and Sale on February 4 featuring females with tremendous genetics across several breeds, and attracting a standing room only crowd of bidders. Consignors to the sale compete for $14,000 in premium money, coveted banners, rosettes and the all-important bragging rights prior to selling. Scholarships will be also be awarded to students by sale management and consignors.
“It’s privilege to work with each of these breed associations and sale companies in providing a platform for these auction sales,” said Stock Show Livestock Show Director Stefan Marchman. “Current market conditions should stimulate brisk bidding for the outstanding genetics during these sales.”
