Foxcroft East Families,
We are excited to get the Pool Season open for Foxcroft East families. The Board has met regarding the season and voted unanimously on opening the pool in a phased approach. While we are all excited to get the pool open and return to some sort of normalcy, it is important that we are mindful that there are still a lot of concerns regarding COVID. Even with people getting vaccinated, there are still risks that we as a club have to take into consideration to try and protect the membership as much as possible.
We will be opening the pool on May 9th for Mother’s Day for mothers and one guest only. More information to come on that following this update.
Beginning Monday, May 10th through Friday May 28th, the pool will be open Monday – Friday from 4:00pm – 8:00pm. During that time there will be Swim and Dive practice going on. The 3 foot area and baby pool will be open to members during practice time. Saturday and Sunday the club will be open from 12 – 8:00pm.
We will start the season with having signups for family spots as well as additional protocols to ensure the safety of all members. More information is provided below based on CDC regulations and how we have decided to open the pool. Our goal is to phase into larger capacity allowance as well as eventually no sign ups. We ask for the membership to respect the guidelines we have laid out and understand our decision as we ensure we keep our facility and membership as safe as possible.
We appreciate everyone’s support as we look to get the pool open and start another great season at Foxcroft East! Thank you all!
In order to follow CDC recommendations and guidelines for opening the pool, the following new rules will be in place:
- Members in separate family groups are asked to stay 6 ft apart from each other. Furniture will be staged to help members stay socially distant and should not be moved. Members are responsible for helping young children follow these social distancing guidelines.
- Sanitation stations will be available throughout the pool for member use. Use of these stations is required at check-in when entering the pool deck. Masks will be required when signing in, using the restrooms, and while in the kitchen area. Masks are encouraged when around other family pods while on the pool deck. Masks will be provided if you do not have one upon arrival to the pool.
- Pool attendance will be on a first come, first serve basis via signups. Families may sign up for 3 spots each week - two during the weekday and one during the weekend. Please sign up with family name and the number of family members attending during your selected time slot. (For example, 4 family members equals 4 sign up genius spots.) This information is required to help provide information on contact tracing should it ever be needed. You may sign up for additional spots on the morning of should there be availability that day.
May 10th through May 28th Signup spots:
Monday – Friday: 4:00 – 5:45 & 6:00-8:00
Saturday and Sunday: 12:00 – 2:30, 2:45 – 5:15, 5:30 – 8:00

A new link will be sent every week following the same format until further notice. Times will change on May 29th as schools are out for the summer and Memorial Day.
- An update will be sent with any changes to guidelines and signups prior to May 29.
- In the event of inclement weather during your scheduled pool signup, we apologize but we cannot make the existing signup list retroactive. Please feel free to re-signup!

The CDC is recommending, based on our pool size, a total of 150 people on our pool deck. These numbers are based on 24 people per 1000 square feet and ensuring we are able to stage the furniture to allow social distancing as well as the square footage of the actual pool. This is an increase from last year's max capacity of 90 people!
- Pool toys, floats, ping pong and basketball will be allowed, but we ask that members be mindful of others nearby and not congregate.
- Bathrooms will be open for changing and showering. Please ensure masks are worn when possible inside the facilities.
-
Please be courteous and clean your pool table and surrounding area prior to leaving.
Updates on an adult swim will be announced soon. We plan on having adult swim in the morning again. More to come once we have that finalized.
Your FXE board is looking forward to safely enjoying some fun in the sun on the pool deck!
Thank you for your continued understanding and patience.
