A wave of 40 new small businesses officially opened their doors across Prince William County this April, marking a major milestone for local entrepreneurship. The diverse group of startups and independent shops successfully navigated the commercial real estate and permitting process through the county’s Small Business Project Management (SBPM) Program.

The business expansion spanned six different locations, with Woodbridge and Manassas emerging as the primary hubs for the April cohort. Woodbridge topped the list with 19 new openings, featuring a heavy mix of health, beauty, and home services, and Manassas followed closely with 14 new businesses, adding diverse automotive, data, and food ventures to the community. Gainesville welcomed 5 new setups, while Dumfries, Haymarket, and Quantico each celebrated 1 new local business.
