β€Š

Greetings!

We are excited to share progress in our continued clinical growth. We have expanded our ultrasound services to offer select screening fetal echoes. Our Urogynecology division welcomed Alec Szlachta-McGinn, MD, who will start seeing patients in St. Charles County later this month. Our Gynecologic Oncology division welcomed Molly Morton, MD, who will primarily see patients at Missouri Baptist.

Administratively, we are happy to announce the appointment of Academic Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ASOG) Chief, Dr. Denise Willers, after a national search. In addition, Dr. Heather Campbell, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, has been appointed Vice Chair of Professional Development & Wellness. Formal announcements to come.

We are one of 14 centers in the country to have received funding for the Women’s Reproductive Health Research (WRHR) program to support clinician researchers in OBGYN and we are recruiting for next year. In May, our research and education team hosted our 39th annual Rothman Research Symposium. Next week we are proud to put on our 50th annual OBGYN symposium, highlighting surgical advancements in OBGYN. In addition to the traditional lectures, we are offering a hands-on surgical skills lab. There's still time to sign up

In education, we welcomed 9 new fellows over the summer. The Nelson Alumni society will host it's 4th annual members dinner on October 16. In honor of the 40th anniversary of the first live births to the WashU Medicine IVF program and in the state of Missouri, we are thrilled to announce that this year's dinner will feature a special guest speaker, Dr. Ronald Strickler, the founder of the IVF program at WashU Medicine.

Please enjoy the key highlights from the 4th quarter of the academic and fiscal year (FY25) and join me in celebrating our department's achievements.

Thank you.
