Dear Friends and Colleagues,

After years composing music for many films and in the endless search of my own voice I decided to get into roots I didn't know I had: Tango. Otra Mirada -Tangos de Cámara.
My partners in this journey are the most amazing artists of the genre.  Néstor Marconi, Pablo Agri and a dream team String Orchestra from the Buenos Aires Symphony Orchestra.  Composing and arranging this music I decided not to follow any trends, but writing beautiful music with the passion of the Tango from another perspective.
Thank you for your consideration - Daniel Tarrab

Otra Mirada (Another Look) - Tangos de Cámara
"Melodies are consistently captivating, with on the money playing from the soloists, who have clearly been given plenty of freedom to explore jazz harmonies.  The whole album is a delight.  A lush balm, this is music to lose oneself in  the final piece La Lamparita (Reprise), following a portentous opening evolves interestingly to include some of the most stunning massed strings on the album"

"Argentinian composer Daniel Tarrab, who has had a long and successful career writing film scores, has released an album of jazz-influenced tango pieces titled "Otra Mirada (Another Look) - Tangos de Cámara.
Far away from the classic Piazzolla form of tango and are created specifically to encourage improvisation.
Tarrab plays piano and contrabass on the album with Nestor Marconi on bandoneon and Pablo Agri on violin and a string section drawn from the Orquesta Filarmonica Nacional.
Together, they make some marvellous music"
