Black Caucus Creating Opportunities for Racial Reconciliation
Beginning this fall, POJ’s Black Caucus will present a series of inspirational dialogues on racial reconciliation and acceptance. Presented through Zoom, each event will help participants see and acknowledge the struggles that African Americans face. The first session, September 24 at 7 p.m., discusses building bridges for reconciliation. Subsequent sessions will be held February 27 and April 17.
Application Deadline Extended
Know a high school student who loves God, wants to develop leadership and volunteer skills, and procrastinates? Good news! The application deadline to serve on Youth Council (POJ YoCo) has been extended to September 9. This will be a unique year due to COVID-19; participants will practice flexibility, creativity, patience, enthusiasm, and grace. Encourage a teen you know to get involved.
