Engaging with Peace and Global Witness Offering Amid a Pandemic
This year World Communion Sunday, October 4, will look different for many of us. Presbyterian Mission Agency has materials that can help you support the Peace and Global Justice Offering during a pandemic. These include videos, lessons for children, and daily reflections. While we may not be able to receive this offering in worship, your congregation can give online. Share the link with your members to help them contribute.
SDOP Committee Recertified
POJ’s SDOP committee has been recertified until 2023 by completing national training with four other presbyteries. The training included scripture, SDOP history, and case studies. Congratulations and thanks to our local SDOP leaders.

Stewardship in Unusual Times
Stewardship Kaleidoscope is an annual conference for all who are passionate about stewardship and generosity. Join the 2020 conference online on September 22, September 29, and October 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Hear from leading thinkers exploring the opportunities for growth in stewardship even in the midst of profound social change. The cost is $45, which includes access to recordings of the speakers and the question and answer session following the final week of the series.
BOP Offers Respite Seminars
The Board of Pensions is offering online seminars as an alternative to its usual annual weekend retreat. Available to active and retired Benefits Plan members including their spouses, Well-Being Respite is a virtual space to pause, learn, reframe, and connect. The session on September 16 will focus on spiritual wholeness. In October and November, the sessions will address vocational, emotional, and physical health.
