Moments to Celebrate
Despite the upheaval in our lives, we must look for moments of joy and peace. You can inspire and comfort others in POJ by sharing the moments you encounter. Send your thoughts to Kelley Hope , associate for communications, for use on Facebook and in a future issue of FYI.

Here's one: Before COVID-19 closed the preschool at First Presbyterian Charlottesville, Director of Family Ministries Laura Holbrook would sing a song, Our God is So Big, each week with the students. Knowing the children miss their school family, Laura, along with husband Fred Holbrook, recorded the song and shared it with the program's families. The video is one way of helping children maintain traditions and relationships that help this unusual time feel more normal. Watch the video.

Also, if your church has resources for worship or Christian Education (such as lesson plans or printables) that you are willing to share with other churches, please email Kelley .
Camp Adds New Ways to Connect
Camp Hanover has implemented several new activities to reach out to people while we are physically separated. Find posts and videos on Facebook at these times:

  • Tuesdays, 7 p.m. - Chicken Bedtime
  • Thursdays, 7 p.m. - Virtual Vespers Praise & Worship
  • Daily, 5 p.m. - Here it is... Your Moment of Camp

Are you offering an online worship service?

Camp Hanover is creating a list of online worship services to share with their followers, especially those who don't have a church home. POJ has posted Camp Hanover's list on our website also. To be included, send your worship details (time, medium, etc) to Doug Walters , executive director, or Kelley Hope .
