Co-Moderator to Visit POJ
Ruling Elder Vilmarie Cintron-Olivieri, co-moderator of the 223rd PC(USA) General Assembly, visits Richmond on October 23 for two events. At 11:45 a.m., she will be at Union Seminary for a community worship and lunch. The fee for lunch is $10. RSVP by calling (804) 278-4201. From 2:30 to 4:00 p.m., Cintron-Olivieri will chair a conversation at Ginter Park Church . Hear her vision for the church and share your dreams for PC(USA).
Registration Open for Conference on Giving

Presbytery of the James and Tuckahoe Church are hosting a remote location of the 2019 Generosity NEXT conference sponsored by the Ecumenical Stewardship Center . See and hear the keynote speakers and participate in group discussions without the expense of travel to Atlanta.
Training Planned for Clerks
Clerks of session, especially those new to the position, are invited to a training on November 3 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the presbytery office. Learn responsibilities as put forth in the Constitution of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and other duties clerks of session might be asked to perform.
Strength and Hope Focus of Fall Retreat
Join other adults and church leaders for a day retreat on November 7. Using “Great is thy Faithfulness” as inspiration, explore and reflect on our purpose, our gifts, and our legacy. What is the witness we bring to our church? What gifts do we offer in this season of our life? What are the blessings of our ministries? The retreat is jointly hosted by Camp Hanover and the Older Adult Ministry.
Youth Groups Invited to Peacemaking Retreat
Middle and high school youth groups are invited to a peacemaking retreat October 11-13 at Camp Hanover. Rev. Darren Utley will lead participants in taking cues from creation stories in Genesis and the new life revealed in Jesus to explore who God made us to be and the life we are called to live. Blue Ridge to Hold Healing Service

Blue Ridge Church invites you to a contemplative healing service on an outdoor labyrinth on October 12. The event will include prayer, live harp and flute music, and time to walk the labyrinth.
Terra Voce to Perform at Scottsville

Scottsville Church hosts flute and cello duo Terra Voce on October 16 at 7:00 p.m. A $10 donation at the door is appreciated with proceeds benefiting the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Light refreshments will be served after.
