Across-the-board raises, payments and days off
Thank you to everyone who completed the survey indicating whether you would prefer an across-the-board wage increase, a one-time payment or a split of the two. Your feedback was shared with the HealthWest Board of Directors and during their board meeting last week, they approved the following for all HealthWest staff:
-
Two additional personal days to be used between Oct. 30, 2022, and Sept. 30, 2023. These are already available to you in Time Out.
-
An increase to the current HealthWest Salary and Wage Scale by 2% effective Nov. 6, 2022.
-
A one-time lump sum payment of $2,000 per Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) for all HealthWest employees employed on Oct. 30, 2022, to be paid on Nov. 11, 2022.
- For part-time staff, the lump sum payment would be $1,600 for 32-hour staff and $1,000 for 20-hour staff.
These incentives are in addition to the already board-approved incentives and stipends which include a $1,000 retention bonus paid to all staff 6 months after hire or 6 months after Oct 1, 2022. Click here to see all of the available incentives and stipends.

SUICIDE PREVENTION RESOURCES | |
Held in Hope
Join us for a NEW support group for parents, caregivers, family, or friends whose loved one has attempted suicide or experienced thoughts of suicide.
The first meeting is Thursday, Nov. 10.
Meetings will be held the second Thursday of the month from 6:30-8 pm at the White Lake UMC Praise Center, 117 S. Division St., Whitehall.
Held in Hope is a support group for people that have had the experience of having a loved one attempt to take their own life. We can often feel lost, afraid, confused, and many other emotions after a suicide attempt. This group will offer support and insight into this complex situation.
This will be a safe place to share experiences, thoughts, feelings, questions, and research-based knowledge in a space of empathy, respect, understanding and connectedness.
Walk-ins and referrals are welcome. For more information, contact Sandi Teichmer at 231-557-8453 or sandi.teichmer@gmail.com
This will be peer-led by people who have lived experience and have cherished loved ones who have attempted suicide.

Everyone in the group, including its facilitator, has had someone close to them take their life and know how devasting the experience can be. We have all experienced those feelings of responsibility of not knowing as we tried to cope with some things we can’t understand.
If you would like to join us or would like more information and the Zoom link, please call or email us at remember.sarah21@gmail.com, Emily Sullivan 517-745-0403 or Naomi Clark 517-474-0909.
