Process of Selecting Three Presbyters Moves Forward
To guide implementation of our new mission, Presbytery of the James is seeking to hire three executive presbyters: a lead presbyter for vision & collaboration, a presbyter for congregational life, and a presbyter for relational care. Job descriptions for the positions are now posted on our website.

A ministry information form (MIF) for the lead presbyter position is listed on the PC(USA) Church Leadership Connection. February 1 is the deadline for applications submitted through Church Leadership Connection or by email to the search committee co-chairs.

Ministry information forms and application deadlines for the other positions will be shared later.
We Invite Your Covenant with Us
We are deeply grateful for all that we have been able to do and to be through you, especially during a pandemic. Our congregations have shown a strong resilience to continue to be in ministry in the places where they are called to serve. Our presbytery has also remained resilient as we have stewarded all that God has entrusted into our care.

Your 2022 Covenant with Presbytery of the James is an opportunity for you to tell us how you would specifically like to share in the new mission and vision of the presbytery. Support of the ministries of the presbytery, the Synod of the Mid-Atlantic, and the General Assembly with your financial gifts as well as your prayers and service are vital to the ministry God has entrusted to us. We invite you to send your 2022 Covenant to the presbytery office by January 31.
Celebrate the Ordination of Parker on Saturday
Presbytery of the James invites you to celebrate the ordination of Crystal Varner Parker on January 8 at 3:00 p.m. Guests are asked to participate virtually via YouTube.
On Sunday, Crystal will be installed as associate pastor of Salisbury Presbyterian Church during the 11:00 a.m. worship service.
Share Your Gifts as a Massanetta Volunteer
Massanetta Springs Camp and Conference Center is looking for leaders for their 2022 middle school conferences. High school students currently in 10th-12th grades can apply to serve as youth advocates, and adults interested in leading workshops can answer the call for workshop directors. Apply by January 10.
