Learn About Gun Violence Prevention Legislation
POJ’s Public Policy Witness Ministry invites you to learn about recent Virginia legislation addressing gun violence prevention. Join via Zoom on March 14 to hear from Andrew Goddard, legislative director of the Virginia Center for Public Safety. The League of Women Voters of the Charlottesville Area and the Charlottesville Coalition of Gun Violence Prevention sponsor this Zoom event.
Faith leaders and janitorial staff are recent additions to Virginia’s list of frontline workers eligible for COVID-19 vaccines for Phase 1B. Clergy/ faith-based leaders interested in receiving a vaccine should complete the pre-registration survey to join the waiting list. If you have already completed the pre-registration form, you do not need to complete it again.
Virginia Department of Health also is seeking churches to serve as vaccine clinic sites. To volunteer your facility, contact your local health department.
