It’s the dog days of summer but HUD has just made an exciting and historic announcement !
HUD's new Foster Youth to Independence (FYI) Initiative will extend FUP for youth to all non-FUP PHAs,
and will allow referrals to be timed with emancipation. Communities can immediately begin partnering to serve youth. We would like to liven-up your Mondays with a weekly forum with the youth and housing experts who worked with HUD to design FYI. We will answer your questions and take your suggestions about implementation
and how to get tools you will need to help youth access stable housing as a platform for success.
