Who: Business Community across Archuleta, Dolores, La Plata, Montezuma, and San Juan Counties
What: The regional economic development organizations have come together to host a business resource webinar in response to COVID-19 for the business community. This is an informational live webinar to discuss what federal, state and regional programs and resources are available, or are in development. There will be a panel representing regional organizations along with a virtual Q&A session.

Join us for  Boulder Small Business Development Center 's 3-Part Online Series: "Keeping Your Business Together in a Crisis."
This online series is provided at no-cost to help you establish your resilience as a business owner and to introduce adaptive and creative ideas to help you prepare for the problems all businesses experience. During these 90-minute sessions, you will hear from subject matter experts that will provide resources, ideas and tools you can proactively leverage to strengthen your business and weather the storm.

Resources for workers : Colorado Dept of Workforce & Employment is constantly updating their website.
· Emergency Paid Leave Rule - This rule is meant to limit the spread of highly contagious disease and enables workers in at-risk occupations to access testing.
· Unemployment Insurance - During layoffs, all employees are encouraged to apply for unemployment insurance. Those who are job-attached (meaning workers will be expected to return after a separation of up to 16 weeks) should file as "job-attached."
· Work-Share Program may allow certain employees who have had reduced hours to claim partial unemployment benefits.

SBA Offers Disaster Assistance to Colorado Small Businesses Economically Impacted by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Applicants may apply online, receive additional disaster assistance information and download applications at . Applicants may also call SBA’s Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955 or email for more information on SBA disaster assistance. Individuals who are deaf or hard‑of‑hearing may call (800) 877-8339. Completed applications should be mailed to U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155.

Montezuma County Business Coalition
In collaboration with other key area organizations, we have established the Montezuma County Business Coalition Facebook Group for business owners, organization managers, and anyone connected to the business community in Montezuma County. The Good Samaritan Center food pantry and The Sharehouse , both located at 30 N. Beech Street in Cortez, are facilitating emergency food response in conjunction with many food assistance organizations in the wake of COVID-19.

Visit  to sign up for volunteer opportunities, to sign up for food or other assistance, or to make a donation to help us buy food and supplies.
If you have food and/or household supplies that you would like to donate, you can drop them off at The Sharehouse any day between noon-4:00, 30 N. Beech St., Cortez.

From the Town of Mancos: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mancos Town Hall will be closed to the public effective Friday, March 20, 2020. Staff will be available via phone at (970) 533-7725 or via email to answer questions. Utility payments may be made online at  or via telephone at (800) 766-2350. You will need your account number. Payments may also be placed in the drop box in front of Town Hall . The situation will be evaluated regularly as the situation unfolds.
On Wednesday. March 18th, Governor Polis ordered all schools to stop in-person instruction until April 17th, with the possible extension for the remainder of the school year. 
Mancos Public Library was closed effective Tuesday, March 17 until further notice.
  • Bookdrop will be closed during this time, and all fines or charges for overdue materials will be waived. Keep your checked out items at home.
  • Wi-fi will remain on and patrons will still be able to access from outside the building.

We urge everyone to check with vetted sources of information on the outbreak like the  Center for Disease Control ,   the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Southwest Health Systems , and  San Juan Basin Public Health . Additionally, for local information on closures and restrictions check with  Montezuma County   or   Town of Mancos . We will continue to monitor this situation and keep the community apprised should these circumstances change.
