Thanks for Making 2026 Our Best FabFest Yet! | | 22nd Tosco Music Beatles Tribute 2026 | | |
We're still revelling in the good feelings from FabFest last weekend!
Tosco Music Beatles Tribute brought us beautiful harmonies and timeless melodies, powerhouse performances, singing along, and dancing at our seats at Knight Theater and at the Come Together Stage at Parr Center. This year brought a number of memorable firsts, like Modern Alibi's lead singer running to the balcony in the middle of a song, plenty of fun with 60s fashion, and the threat of rain that prompted us to come together indoors at FabFest Daytime.
FabFest Daytime attendees had more ways than ever before to creatively engage, making music or music-videos or beaded souvenirs. More people than ever before participated in the activities, contests, art market and stages.
We've been enjoying the memories shared online. See our FabFest 2026 Gallery here and check back for more to be added soon. If you're not already, follow @FabFestCharlotte on Facebook and/or Instagram, and subscribe to our YouTube channel, to see more highlights coming soon!
We'd also like to hear what FabFest was like for you! Your feedback helps us make the festival better. If you attended any part of FabFest, please take the short survey below.

Beatles Cover Song Contest
1st Place Winners
"Come Together"
Mint City Brass Band
(Adult Winner)
"Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"
Cecilia Langdon
(Youth Winner)
With twice the entries as last year, the Cover Song Contest awarded first, second and third place awards for both adult and youth winners. See all winners here.
A full brass band was another first -- with their bold and soulful funk and jazzy sound, they had us all swaying along! At eight members, Mint City Brass Band is the largest cover song act ever and the tirst to take home the top prize of $400!
Cecilia played and sang with a contagious smile that brightened the rooms of both stages she performed on, winning the hearts of audiences and the judges alike! A natural performer, at ease at the mic at such a young age - we're looking forward to watching her talent bloom!

Beatles Art Contest
Best in Show Awards
Best in Show - Adult Art
"Lucy" by Connyre Corbett
"Lucy" celebrates the Beatles' invitation to see the world differently; the river takes us on the same journey as the song, past the tangerine trees and into a colorful, otherworldy-yet-familiar world, right up to the explosive joy and power of Lucy in the sky with diamonds herself.
Best in Show - Youth Art
"Beatlemania on the Crosswalk"
by Maria Rojas (17)
I was very inspired by all of the Beatles' songs, which gave me a warm feeling. I wanted to include some groovy elements of the '60s while also incorporating recognizable elements of the Beatles, such as their famous crosswalk picture.

60s Fashion at FabFest a Huge Hit!
Thanks to everyone who accepted the invitation to wear your 60s threads to Knight Theater for opening night of FabFest! Rita Miles and Rob McDowell and their Charlotte Seen team of designers, stylists and models helped us kick off FabFest in 60s style, and got people excited about participating in the 60s Fashion & Costume Contest on Saturday.
See below for winners and thank you to the talented photographers who shared their time and talent too. Photos below from: Dave Rynne, Scott Jelleyman, Daniel Coston, Glyn A. Stanley, Heather Mall, Andy Goh, Kiah Bachman, Sierra Wright and participant's families.

What a showing for this contest's pilot year!
We couldn't be happier with the enthusiasm of the more than 30 attendees who came to FabFest in costume or styled in 60s looks - some just for fun, and some to compete. Participant ages spanned 6 decades!
Everyone who came dressed up walked away with a goodie bag as thanks for bringing their 60s spirit, courtesy of Yoko Ono and John Lennon (aka Penelope & Isabella Shaw), who also sponsored this year's awards.
We can't wait to do it again next year!
