We are so happy to feature Jim and Linda as our February artists. Their gorgeous jewelry not only would make excellent Valentine's Day gifts but Jim and Linda represent what the Valentine's Day means.
Most of their jewelry is made with semi-precious gemstones and sterling silver. There are well over 50 pieces in the collection. You can shop online but you will find a larger selection in the gallery. More of their items will be added to the online collection.
Jim cuts and polishes the stones he uses in his pieces. He views the silver used for wire-wrapped pendants as the frame to the stones. At festivals he can be seen demonstrating “viking knit” - weaving sterling silver on a dowel rod to create chains, necklaces, bracelets and earrings.
Linda enjoys pairing stones with sterling charms, especially matching blue and green stones with nautical-themed charms. After taking just one class at the Bay School taught by Cynthia Quesenbury working with precious metal clay, Linda was hooked…working with the silver clay leaves so much to the imagination with countless options for creating.
