Local tourism operators are being offered 4 weeks of social media marketing for free through RTO7, the regional tourism organization for Bruce, Grey and Simcoe Counties.
The Operations Implementation Program provides a $1,000 social media marketing campaign for tourism operators who have spent $1,000 on operational costs like hydro, mortgage, insurance, rent etc. since April, 2020. It's part of a broader COVID-19 assistance program for tourism businesses. (See the PPE grant program below).
Restaurants, campgrounds, hotels and B&Bs, tour operators, and destination retailers can apply.
To qualify, operators need to have the following:
1. An active Facebook page
2. An up-to-date website
3. Five to ten current, high resolution images or video footage that can be used in the campaign.
